Well, here it is! It's a beautiful bag and really sturdy. It fits on the passenger seat perfectly with only one bungee. I need to play with it more to fit it on the rack. This is the XL.

I bought the Cruiser Bag which was made in Canada, but is no longer made, still the Bikers Friend is basically the same design, a large PVC pipe covered in vinal with removable zippered ends and an adjustable back rest.
Here is a Cruiser Bag on my VTX1800, now I use it on the F. I've had it for over 13 yrs and is good as new.

The Bikers Friend has much more stuff than my Cruiser Bag and if I did not already have the Cruiser Bag I would definitely be looking at the Bikers Friend

Like BIGLRY I have the identical Cruiser Bag which was made in Canada and no longer available. I've been asked on numerous occasions about the bag and where I purchased it. Finally someone has been smart enough to offer a bag almost identical in construction. Mine makes a great backrest in addition to providing quick and easy stowage. I had to laugh when one of our members referred to it as a "Depth Charge" resting on my rear seat:shock: By far and above, those who purchase one of the "hard shell bag" will have money well spent IMHO:icon_wink:

Yes, I took it around the block for a test and it's quite comfortable. I needed a little more boost so I added the extra back pad in between the backrest and the bag. Perfect.

Definitely. On the oversize rack it has room to roll back and forth. The 19 inch width is just right to not interfere with the antenna.

I doubt you would have a problem! I have a "Home Brewed Rack" which I consider large and if my Golf Bag will fit my Cruiser Bag will:shhh:

I've got a depth charge bag from a site called "The Lazy Rider" or something like that. I have had it for 9 years & I think they are based in Texas. It fits good on my MP3 rack just have to open it on the LH side opposite the antenna. Also fits good on the passenger seat & has a lean pillow if you need it.

It attaches with small bungies. It is "rain resistant" but not waterproof. Got caught in a terrible rain while riding in the Keys a few years ago & some of the clothes inside got a little wet.

Place your cloths/gear in a 13 Gal. plastic trash bag before placing them in your "Depth Charge Bag" and you'll be "golden":039:

It looks like you have the straps connected to your rack. Will this work for a bike without a rack, and/or without having to remove the seat? I am debating between this bag and the GranTour by Kuryakyn. I am looking for something to mount to the passenger seat without too much hassle while also providing driver back support.

I'm sure it will fit but you will have to figure out how to tie it down. The tie downs are designed more for cruisers but will work on anything with some creativity.

They have a good return policy. If you can't figure out how to strap it down or don't like it they will take it back. As long as you don't take it on a trip.

I have the Lazy Rider bag and wouldn't go on a trip solo without it. Been through some big rain storms and nothing inside has ever gotten wet.
