So my 9 yo son just got back from camp and all he can talk about is the mini bikes he rode. Out of my 3 sons he may be the only one really interested in riding. He is the one that always wants to ride when I go. Its great to see his excitement.

He rode to different typed of mini bikes. One was automatic and the other he shifted without a clutch. what is that called when he gets to change gears himself but no clutch is needed? Second, what size bike, or what bike would you more experienced than I recommend for a 9yo almost 10. He is pretty tall for his age. He is the most fearless and athletic of the 3 as well. I am thinking dirt bike/trail bike of course.

Honda has a good line up of small cc dirt bikes , I would find one that fits him. and as Steve said see if you can find used, these bike are usally out grown before they are wornout .

Craigslist for sure. Most are taking up garage space and the owner wants them gone.
