Probably a silly question, but is the F6 rear wheel , the same one on the Gold Wing 1800? Looks the same to me, just want to be sure. got a friend who says I should buy his extra wheel, and I want to be positive before I make a sale. He's asking $115, does that sound reasonable? Thanks for any advise.

It's the same, may have tps. Price depends, you can get a new black one with a new tire on ebay. I have two extras.

Thanks! I thought they were the same. I can always spray that black plastic/rubber stuff on a silver wheel. Good info on this forum, that's why I like it!

That's a good price. If its current generation wing it should be the same. Sometimes you can find a new takeoff tire and wheel for around 200. Call Honda of Russellville. Or check ebay.

Well... yes and no. The wheels are not the same, but they are interchangeable.

So, the lug bolt pattern is the same, but the spokes are different? Tire size is the same, I would imagine. Let me know if I'm incorrect. I'm thinking, once it's mounted, it's pretty hard to see if the front and rear wheel are a perfect match.

You got it JM; all the important specs are the same (bolt pattern and tire size) but there are some cosmetic differences. Black paint on ours, obviously, but I *believe* the Goldwing wheels have sealed spokes... unlike ours which are open on one side... which you can see in Bob's pics.

Thanks Guys. Good info and good pics. Now I can set up my spare rear wheel. No waiting, if I get a flat, or burn off the tread!

In some cases they are, for instance, one of my spares came off a blacked out gold wing. The only difference is the TPMS.

I bought a new takeoff wheel from HOR off a full wing according to the parts guy that was exactly like ours right down to the color. So don't tell me it can't happen. $225 plus $20 shipping. No the spokes aren't filled I'm George it is exactly like ours. I have a General G Max on it. Only difference is the TPM.

Now ya all got me thinking...........
The Rune runs a Front: 150/60R-18 and a Rear: 180/55R-17
While the F6B runs a Front: 130/70R-18 and a Rear: 180/60R-16
I have a few extra Rune wheels.
I also have a new Rune Hub, Knock-off Spinner & Batman Spinner like the ones below.

Below is a chrome rear Rune wheel with the OEM Rune hub cover, I have one set in powder coated black.
14811
I know they will fit the F6B rear dif, Now I have to to check the caliper/rotor line up and the front axel spacers if I want to swap....hummmmmmmmm(I'm betting they'll fit with a little mod) :icon_rolleyes:

*scratches head* Like your thinking, but it'd be like putting art in a room with no doors.... Can't see the rear wheel.....:icon_wink:

I was mainly thinking about changing the height of the F6B by swapping the F6B's 180/60R-16 rear for the Rune's lower profile, but bigger rear 180/55R-17 and leaving the OEM F6B front on and just doing a gloss black powder coat to match the Rune's rear.
Below is the OEM Rune rear wheel and rubber with the knockoff spinner in black powder coat I'm thinking about using.

The wheel is different in the valve stem area that's the difference.
