So I'm thinking about painting the bike. What should it cost? Just looking for budget numbers.

he painted my VTX with a fairing in chrome yellow. Google him and tell him Andrew sent you. you can spen between 1-2K depending on what you want. My bike is #34 in his portfolio.

Mine was torn down by the selling dealer, painted by an out-sourced private painter, re-assembled by a retired mechanic who contracts with special dealer work, for about $2000. Used House of Kolors Brandywine Candy Red with clearcoat...Looks great and I get a lot of compliments....I had it done before purchase as my wife did not like the 2013 color choices.....

After thinking about it, It was about 5 years ago When my bike was painted. I am sure it has not increased since then. :yikes: a lot depends if you can pull stuff off and can do some work yourself or if you ride up and leave it. It makes a big difference in price.
