I have been looking for something to clean bugs off that matte silver since I bought this 6. My old standby I have used for year wasn't cutting the mustard on this flat paint. So I tried several suggestion like the dryer sheets and although it did take the bugs off quickly it left a mess I wasn't willing to deal with as I don't like using water on my motorcycles. The old bike never got a drop of water on it. I used the cleaner wax and polish from Bike Spirit. I had a bottle of Super Clean Foaming I had used on something or other and thought what could it hurt so I used it after a ride yesterday with a clean micro fiber towel and it took the bugs off quickly and left a visible sheen behind. I was impressed after I cleaned it all. It did clean the bugs off the bagger shield fast but left it foggy so I still had to use the Bike Spirit Clean wax and polish to bring the windshield up to snuff. But the flat paint was gorgeous. Try it out, you will like the outcome on the Matte Silver.

My previous bike also had the flat/matte finish, so I was already prepared when I bought this one. I use a spray that I bought at the HD store...specifically for matte finishes. Works well. Black can with pink label.

I got the matte cleaning kit from Dr. Beasley's. Makes the bike look showroom new after a cleaning and sealant treatment.
