Has anybody tried these Dianese super air drake pants yet? These are supposed to provide good protection in hot weather and be much cooler than jeans. I saw a review that they are cooler than jeans and feel you are wearing shorts.

I have the Dianese new drake air pants and they are great for cool to warm weather. (But too hot over 80 degrees)

I highly recommend the Dianese pants because they are so comfortable. They are a little pricey but top quality. The first pair of Dianese pants I bought were the Daianese Alien Pelle pants and they are fantastic. I feel invincible in them and they are unbelievably comfortable. I have had them for 5 years and they are still like new. I had to buy the Air Drake pants for summer and they were great also but too hot for over 80 degrees.

I have the others and they are too hot. I would like to know if anyone has the Dainese super air drake. I have read that they are cooler than jeans almost like shorts.

I'm happy with Olympia airglide mesh pants - they are an over pants - I've had them for 4 yrs. and they still look good. They zip on the sides so you don't have to remove your boots and go right over pants long or short. Comes with hip/knee pads - and liner I've never used- Revzilla has them.

Most of the mesh pants are great. Above 80 degrees, avoid the black ones. The black mesh heats up while stopped and then when you go, the breeze through the mesh puts all the heat onto your legs.

I will receive my Dainese Super Air Drake pants on Thursday. They had to ship them from Italy!!! (I will let you know how they work).

I was planning on doing the ass-less chaps thing under the Dainese pants. I have to have protection just in case because I don't want my baby soft ass to get road rash.

Seriously I think that I will wear some real thin light wieght shorts under these and let the air flow better than jeans but still have the protection. If you wear jeans you will have no more protection than the ass-less chaps you all love. I love them also but on sexy women.

I'm glad you guys have money to burn. I just can't afford anything that pricey, I will stick with my Duluth Trading Firehose jeans, there the only ones I know of that you can slide on the asphalt 20 yards or so and get up without any road rash on your butt and use them the next day with no damage to the jeans:yes:. They are comfortable to wear but in high heat might be a problem. But you can't beat the price of $59.50. Right up my alley.

I can't comment on their pants but certainly can recommend their mesh jacket for "hot" weather.

I wear a Draggin Shirt when its warm...never looked into pants, the fire hose ones from Duluth didn't fit right. I generally wear my wrangler worx ones with the knee pad pockets...Luv'm and I've wore them hot and cold.

Black pants like black helmets absorb heat, I recommend khakis.

Don't worry about it Larry. He's a wussy. Makes big claims about his slow ass red bike but never backs it up. I don't think he even has a gun much less knows how to shoot.one.

I use these from Cycle Gear. Comfortable mesh pants, much better than jeans, air goes thru them everywhere, I paid around $50 for them on sale. They also include knee armor and the sides have padding as well. The gray line around knees is reflective at night.

I use the Olympia Avenger mesh suit. One piece, about 30 seconds on/off. Fits nice. Can wear a nice business suit underneath, or shorts and a t-shirt. TONS of ventilation during the hot summers in SoCal, and great protection all around.

Living in NorCal, I wear the Dianese pants most of the year, dropping them (no pun intended) during the winter for a Gortex version from Rukka and a fully mesh pair from IXS or Rev'it in summer. In terms of fit and comfort, the Dianese win out as they have a better texture on the skin, can be drycleaned easily and have a leaner, close-to-the-leg fit. The vent over the knee area works well and the zippers are superior to anything from Vanson, which is what I grew up wearing. Does anyone really ride in unarmored jeans anymore?

Finally someone who gets the idea that wearing jeans are like wearing shorts. When you were a kid riding your bicycle and went down at say 5 - 10 mph your jeans ripped and you had road rash. Can you imagine what would happen if you went down at anything over 20 mph.

I just like something comfortable that will give me a little protection. You will still get broken bones etc but at least you wont get road rash.

I really love my Diannne pants and now I have a pair for all seasons. I love them all and they make me feel more comfortable and safer when riding. If you think about it what is your safety worth to you. If nothing else these are worth the extra money just for the comfort they provide.

Hopefully none of us go down and get hurt. You wouldn't ride without a helmet would you? Oh yea you probably do.

I wish everyone a safe enjoyable ride.
