Bought a Breakaway from member

I bought the BreakWay throttle lock that was for sale in the classifieds, but it's natural aluminum. Is there a way to paint it without the paint coming off from use. If I powder coat it, the coating may be too thick. Is there a way to home anaodize it.

Ump....not sure I would mess with that...the specs are tight and not sure the mechanism would work quite right??????

Home anodizing is a doable thing. Also check cerakote from a gunsmith in your area. Each will only add thousandths of thickness to the aluminum.
