I put a new Metz 888 on the front today and disabled the anti dive, I'll give you guys some feedback after a few rides. I'm putting a new Bridgestone on the back tomorrow, I don't usually mix brands so we'll see how this goes.

Installed my shim today and took it for a spin driving over manholes and pot holes and this shim smoothed out the hammer sound and seems very smooth...Cheap fix for an annoying problem...Money well spent...

I have been reading this thread with interest. I currently have no issues with bone jarring front end responses; but... I may just buy this shim and install it; just for the hell of it.

Am serious.

Will...I wouldnt call it "Bone jarring" but hiting any rough spot in the road seems more like a thump or hammer sound in the front fork area..Initially I thought it could be the plastic fender but now that Ive installed the shim the front end is nuch quieter...Its only $25 and its worth every penny IMHO....
