View Full Version : Look What Followed me Home Today…..and DFW Dealership Kudos

….Actually the logistics were a pain in the @$$. The super accommodating dealership closed at 4:00. My deal done at 6:00. They followed me home 34 miles, and their pickup broke down. Wife and I go back for my truck and when we get near home they're still working on their truck…..8-(

2015 Blue Deluxe from RPM Cycles in Dallas (Farmer's Branch). Can't say enough good things about the dealership. Walked in there after frustrating time convincing nearby Kawasaki dealership to let me test ride a bike. Asked if they had an F6B serviced. "Robert" the sales guy said no, but give me 20 mins and I'll have it ready for you! Sure enough, 20 mins at Jack-in-the-Box, and back. Ready. Clean. Full of gas. I asked how far I could take a road traveler. " We don't care where you take it. Be safe. Here are some ideas." Took a 30 mile test ride.

Gave me a great deal then made it even better than I asked in a counter offer (weird). Showed me how to take side panels off and check oil and coolant. Checked final drive oil with me.

List is $21,499. They discounted $1100 to $20,399, then gave me $500 rebate AND $1000 of their "bonus" or "flex" bucks they can apply to any bike they like. Total discount $2600. Paid 18,899 for the bike. No freight or prep. And this dealership has a price sheet attached to EVERY bike at retail plus $475 freight plus $475 prep. So, $18,899 Plus warranty, plus sales tax, license fees, etc.

They still have a matte silver one…8-).

They didn't blink when I said I'd start to negotiate somewhere below MSRP and with NO freight/prep. GM Boris and Finance guy Bill were tremendous. Even with lights out in the extended Honda/Triumph/Aprilia/MotoGuzzi dealership they went out of their way to help me find a decent helmet (gave my Neotec with bike sale last week) after my Cycle Gear remaining joke helmet fell apart. There we were, trying on helmets in the darkened dealership with several staff waiting. Then gave me the Scorpion EXO 1200 Hi Viz at cost (which I could see in their system and was $160 lower than lowest online price I could find).

Bought the 48 month extended WITH roadside assistance for $840. Large down payment and some financing at 3.64% for 60.

I know, I know, lots of places would stay open for a sale. It's the WAY they did it that impressed me. Service manager, even at close was curious to double check service intervals, so went and pulled a service manual and looked at it with me. Also priced first service for me so I'd know.

Here's a couple quick pics. Glamour shots later.

Good looking bike Psuedo. I like the blue. Sorry you couldn't afford a Fast Black. You see , its commonly known , all F6B's are fast. But the Black Ones , they "Inflict Whiplash".:joke::stirthepot:

Wish we had dealers like that up here. You got a great deal, and a great sales experience. And even were allowed to test ride one first? Wow!

The F6B was also the right choice, didn't hurt that the dealer bent over backwards to get it to you. My dealer I bought mine from couldn't hold a candle to your dealer. Mine was so good I am never going back to him for anything ever.

Great to hear that there are still a few dealers who actually give a "damn" about customer care and selling bikes. I would not buy a bike from the local Honda dealer in my area if they were the last one on earth!!...But, the Honda dealer about 125 miles from my house in central MI. is one of the best I have had the pleasure of dealing with...Great price, worked with me on custom painting, after-market accessories , great financing and a decent value for my trade...So far service is great and I am very happy with the way they take of the customer both during and after the sale....The F6B is a great bike and you should love it....Ride safe and enjoy!!

RPM Cycles - Boris and crew - are the best around. They have stayed open when I showed up at 3:59 PM thinking they closed at 5:00 on Saturdays. And, this was just for a $20 part!! I have purchased several Triumphs from them and now the same Blue F6B as Pseudo. I would travel however far it takes to get to this dealer. They are that good.

I was there that morning, Fred, and walked around your new bike before you had a chance to buy it. I was having the Honda OEM fog lights installed on mine yesterday morning. You are fortunate I already have a blue '15 or you might be posting about your matte grey bike!! LOL

Congratulations and enjoy your new bike. You will love it and you will love dealing with RPM Cycles. Only dealer - car or motorcycle - that I've ever completely trusted.

Glad for confirmation of my experience. Thank you. What should I expect to spend for those factory lights installed? Where does switch go? Thanks.

The switch goes on the bottom of the panel with all the radio, intercom and weather band buttons (lower left side). You'll see a couple of places where it looks like a button could exist. The fog light switch is usually installed on the bottom left. There's a blank that is removed and replaced with the switch.

As far as the price, call them and ask. Especially with you just purchasing a bike, I bet they make you a great deal. The price was awesome, in my opinion. I have purchased several bikes from them over the years. We may not get exactly the same deal. I'll let them tell you what they can do. I bet you will be pleased.

Thanks. Was wondering. Do I want dog or driving lights there?

I wanted fog lights for my Arkansas trips. I'm hoping they help illuminate the road on the foggy days and nights. There's been times on the Talimena Scenic Byway I could barely see the front fender.

Seems there is a thread somewhere on the site discussing fog and driving lights. I can't recall what forum section it was in. Maybe accessories?

Something that would NEVER happen at CycleSpot, Takapuna, Auckland New Zealand, if only they could read what happened to you and learn from it (pure fiction)...
Welcome to this great Forum, enjoy your ride !

Next time you can stop in the dealership!

And forgot to add--they are closed on Monday, but they offered if I wanted to pick it up Monday Boris could be there to let me in and buy whatever else I want……;-)
