Well I pulled the trigger. I traded the f6 for a new 2015 roadglide. I just could never get into the f6 plus I couldn't get comfortable on the bike. Life is too short to be riding a bike that you don't like. I just wanna say this was an awesome forum and I got a lot of knowledge off you guys. Thanks everyone and ride safe

Enjoy your ride. There is a bike out there for everyone. We are fortunate to have so many different bikes to chose from.

I think you can still be a member of this group if you desire.
I wish you the best of luck with your new ride..Ask the dealer right away about the Factory recall on the brake master cylinder. I doubt they changed it before sale. There is also a recall on the Attachments that hold the saddle bags on...My Riding buddy's 2015 Had its Brain go bad. Now it has been on the rack at the dealer for two weeks waiting on the master shaft, bearing and seal between the tranny and Primary. It dumped its oil on the garage floor, less than 3000 miles went to the dealer in a trailer, got fixed in 3 days, rode it home. Next morning oil in the floor.Trailer-ed to the dealer. Been there for a little over two weeks waiting for parts.... I had this same problem on my 2011 Road Glide Ultra at 2000 miles, Plus bad compensator at 7000, replaced cam bearings at 20,000,and I could go on and on until I sold it in 13 and bought the Fast Black F6BD for a fraction of what the Road Glide cost....A bike that cost as much or more than your Road Glide shouldn't have such problems. They did improve the 103 by putting 255 cams in it. And the ...never mind I'm starting to feel bad talking about all this...Really good luck to you..............Dickie

Congrats on the new Roadglide. You will have a great time on it, I'm certain. I have never had any issues with my 2011 Ultra Limited, and it has been the most comfortable bike I have ever owned. I enjoy my F6B too...but the Harley is a more enjoyable and comfortable ride, at least for me. Glad I have both!

Congrats, I am going to do the same. My F6B is a great bike but I simply can't get comfortable on it.

Its got to be more than just being uncomfortable cause you can change a seat and find the comfort your looking for, I am changing the seat on my F6b and having Day-Long seats build me a new one. So I am assuming that you are giving up all that technology just because you want to go back to some ancient technology for a reason. You miss all the problems that the Harley has, the leaks, the trips to get it repaired at the dealer, the cooling problems. The excess heat frying your legs in the hot summer weather, have I missed anything. Well its your decision and I just don't understand I guess why you would give up a nice piece for one that is questionable. JMHO

On my 4th HD, have never had any of those issues. Great paint, way more adjustability, after market support matched by none, style, character. I have talked to 5 from here who have gone back to HD. Must be the T-shirts??

I coudnt get comfortable either. I even had Helibars, Lowered front forks and added 3/4 drop link at the rear, and still didn't like the position. A month ago I totaled the F6b, fortunately I was not hurt. Looking back I'm glad it was totaled and payed by Insurance, cuz I was really upside down on that bike. I'm seriously considering Street glide. Don't get me wrong, I like the glowing platform but due to my height I'm having issues. I'm 5'5 and have a bad right knee. Have even considered regular goldwing due to available reverse gear.

I rented a 2015 street glide at sturgis. I was very impressed and comfortable on that bike.

I just couldn't get comfy and I started to not really like the f6 about 3months after I got it. I had a ultimate king seat but it did nothing for were the foot pegs were located. The stereo on the f6 just plain sucks and those God awful ugly buttons and knobs.. The handle bars were too low for my liking Those were my complaints about the f6b. I'm not gonna sit on here and sing the praises of the all mighty HD but the road glide fits me a lot better. but I'm gonna say this harley are hot in traffic, but rolling down the hiway I don't think they are hot at all. I felt more heat down around my legs on the f6. As far as problems. I had a 13roadglide with elec problems but I'm willing to give them another shot. At least I was comfortable on it!!

6' 3"
42/34 250 pounds and that is why I am sending my seat out to Day-long seats to have them custom build one that has more side support and move me a little back farther. Its just a seat change to gain more comfort on the 6. I had to change the seat on my M109R for the same reason and fixed it with the purchase of a Corbin seat. But Big Larry swears by Day-Longs custom built one's so I am going with them.

Congratulations on the new bike. Harley just sent me a flyer with the lead in headline "congratulations Kevin, you've been pre-approved for a loan up to 27,999 for a new harley". My wife was looking over my shoulder and wispered those three little words "no you're not". :nono:

My buddy has one of those big money street glide and it has 2500 miles on it and a big puddle of oil on the floor under it. Not what you want to have in your garage.

Honestly, if you truly aren't comfortable, then I don't blame you one bit. Lifenis too short. Right after I bought mine last year, I thought I had made a mistake. I also ride a Valkyrie. The stock handlebars would cause me terrible pain between my shoulders and neck. Tried the risers no change. The Helibars changed all that for me. At 5'8" anf 30" inseam, I feel the bike fits me perfect. If I was taller , probably not so much.

Those Japanese are exactly 6' 4" inches so I would imagine a shorter person would fit well on it where us 6'3" and over people would have trouble, but I learned long ago that any motorcycle can be refit to your personal needs and its just finding the combination that works for you that is the Challenge. Once you find it the bike becomes a comfortable ride.

For what it's worth I wasn't at all tempted. There is nothing in the HD lineup that I would consider replacing the F6B with. Part of it is the fact it's still new to me, but also this engine is such a gem that I do not believe I will be revisiting the v-twin scene any time soon, if at all.
