The reason for this post is the Miami County Military Rites Unit is campaigning to raise funds to replace their aging transportation. The nice folks at the Beacon Credit Union operate Project Spotlight annually. They give the non profit community service organization that receives the most votes $1,000. The unit is asking for support, pleas visit http://www.beaconcu.org/project-spotlight/project-spotlight-nominees-miami-county/ and cast a vote on a daily basis for the month of September.
The Unit is staffed by all volunteer veterans that provide military ceremonies at veteran internments and flag education.
