Hi guys, first post so please excuse my inexperience.

Like many others, im looking to buy a 6. But at the moment I live in a townhouse neighborhood with no garages or shelters. This bike would be a daily driver from march to october I was wondering how the bike was handling the elements. I hope to have a garage in the next year or two, but you know what they say "Plan for the worst........"

Thanks guys
Bob

Get a bike cover for it.

Or buy a clamshell shelter:

Yeah. If you can afford it the clamshell is the way to go.

Has anyone noticed any fading? Or any electrical problems from 1 too many rain storms? I would probably us a bikini cover if there is one most of the time.

I have a garage but on various trips my F6B has sat out in the elements. No problems. Back in the days that I didn't have a garage I used to rent a storage unit. If you live in a complex there is always a storage place nearby.

UV is hell on plastic. The Wing is covered with it. AT LEAST a bikini type cover/half cover for it. Takes less than a minute or two to install it.

Who makes a good bikini/half cover for it. I had email wingstuff about one and they said they dont carry one. And I noticed a lot of the goldwing half covers attach to the rear trunk that the 6 doesnt have.

Some sort of a cover for the entire bike would be best. A complete cover makes it a more difficult target for thieves and also keeps critters from damaging it with urine etc..

Cycleshell for it's build quality and cost would be the best value for money in my opinion. You'd need the size built for the largest touring bike. If you do follow up with a 1-800 call to cycleshell you'll speak to the owner and builder and he'll advise you on size for your needs. I have no vested interest in the company but I was looking for a solution to cover the B a while back and did some research of my own.
