I am planning an annual trip to Las Vegas with a few buddies. We just thought about renting bikes for the day and riding. Its gotta be cheaper than losing all my money in a casino for that day if I can stay out of them at night. I need some ideas and recommendations.

I found some sites that will rent like http://www.eaglerider.com/
They even have an F6B to rent.
Can anyone suggest any other places they may have used or know personally and the other would be suggestions on if you were to leave the strip which direction/route would you take for a day ride.

Thanks for the Help

Ride suggestion:

Go south to Laughlin, NV, cross river to Bullhead City, AZ. Go south again to the Oatman, AZ turnoff. Looks like Rd 153. Go east to Oatman. Visit Oatman. Then go east again on Rt. 66 to Kingman, AZ. Then take Hwy 93 north back to NV via the new bridge over the Hoover Dam. Stop and visit Hoover Dam. Return to Vegas. :thumb:

If I'm available I'd love to join you. We'll see.

I've never rented in Vegas but I've rented from Eagle Rider in Phoenix and had no complaints.

CarolinaRider, the route suggested by Bobby is a good one, done it 1892 times .

When are you thinking of doing this...fly and ride? You do know it is HOT in LV ! You may be used to the humidity of NC, but the dry heat of LV will wipe you out.

Also, why not ride the bikes out to LV ? Short on time ! Then ride faster !

Eaglerider is a good outfit to deal with. Especially if they have an F6B to rent. Let your buddies rent the HD's, and you rent the F6B, and show them why the F6B was voted motorcycle of the year.

So, WHEN are you doing this ??????

Thanks Bobby I will check out that Route and let you know when I am out your way. Last time I visited Hoover Dam they were just into building the new bridge.

Miles, The Trip is Scheduled for Jan 15th thru 19th so yes its a short time that was our thinking on just the one day ride. I still need my Poker room time. Probably will be that Friday Jan 17th.

One of the guys coming out with me rides a 97 Valk and the other a Kawasaki Vulcan 2000. My thoughts were why not if I am renting try a HD or ST1300 but every time I ride I realize why would I want to sit on anything else.

Already Booked the first class airline tickets but cant wait till the day I dont have to fly and am able to take my time on my F6B in a different kind of first class.

Thanks for the Thumbs up on Eagle Rider!

I was taken on this ride a few years ago by a fellow Valk rider in Vegas. He took me a bit north I believe but mostly west into some mountains. It was a great ride to the top of the mountain, what a fantastic view and then we had lunch up there at a restaurant. Maybe someone from Vegas will chime in here and give more information. I was following and site seeing and really not paying attention to where we were going. The ride bobbyf6b mentioned is a great route I have done it many times. If you do that one there is a leather shop in Oatman, go in there it smells great and they have pretty good deals on gloves, jackets, belts ect..... I think I've spent $1000.00 in that place over the years. Have FUN!!!!!
