Just wondering what is the most favored manual cruise (throttle lock system) that works with the 2013 F6b...Thanks in advance!

I've put Throttlemeisters on the last three bikes I've owned, including my F6B. I have it set just enough to hold the throttle wherever I put it, so effectively it's engaged all the time. I'm sure that's not recommended, but I developed a truly nasty case of carpal tunnel about 15 years ago so being able to keep my hand relaxed most of the time is actually really important for my health.

Note for the potential finger-waggers: I've put about 45,000 miles on Throttlemeisters using this technique with no ill result, so cut me some slack.

I have the Kaoko on my F6B, once set correctly, it just works.

I have perpetual tendonitis in my elbows, so a good throttle lock that doesn't slip is very much needed. Appreciate your thoughts.

Personally, I think the reasonably priced and reliable Go Cruise is hard to beat. I've been running one on my '13 F6B for almost 32000 miles and 32 months of ownership. The tension is easily adjusted with the wheel on the unit. However, I set mine and have never touched it again.

+1 Cheap and Effective best describes the Go Cruise! With 40K on the clock, the GC has worked remarkably well. Placed two O-Rings, one on each side of the GC, which removes any lateral movement. That and cleaning the rubber friction brand with a alcohol saturated cloth before installing and adjusting the GC removes any chances of slippage once the thumb wheel is set:shhh:

.... the BrakeAway unit because while all of the different throttle locks will maintain your speed, only the BrakeAway will release automatically if you grab the front brake lever. Just a personal preference.

Love the looks and ease of use of the Throttlemiester cruise control.

I bought an OMNI from the guy that makes them, when I was in Sturgis.
Super nice guy.
He told me if I break it he will replace it.
It works very good for me.

Had a Go-Cruise for one season but found it too finicky for my tastes. Went with a BrakeAway and although pricey it is a much better and safer unit.

I agree 100% with Travelor; I like the way it does work.....

I'm a go-cruise on my F6B. I've had all the rest like a Throttlemiester on my VTX1800, Brake-Away on a Rune, but like the go-cruise on the F6B the best.

Another thumbs up for the Breakaway.I feel the the brake handle release along with the push lever release make it the safest one in a panic situation as you pull on that brake lever and the throttle releases. Not cheap but well made.351835193520

Yes, I too have developed tendonitis in the right forearm, and why I need to consider a lock. Ok this will give me some good ones to look at. Electronic Cruise would be better, but cost so much>>>Thanks all

What tips the scales for your choice of the go-cruise for the F6B?

I ran the Omni-cruise on my M109R Suzuki for 5 years. It never runs out of warranty, if you break it its replace for free, you can set tension with heavy gloves on and its easy to set cruise and maintain the speed until the hill of course. But better made than this unit doesn't exist, and you can grab the front brake with it set without any problem, its bullitt proof and I sold it too one of the guys here on this forum and he loved it as much as I did. I have a deluxe now with cruise control so I didn't need it anymore.

Kaoko, but I hardly ever use it. My F6 throttle is feather light.

What tips the scales for your choice of the go-cruise for the F6B?Cheap price, ease of installation & adjustability with my ISO grips. Easy to use and set with one finger while holding throttle. Works every time with no worry if something is going to come loose or fall off, oh and did I mention cheap price?:icon_biggrin:

I been looking them over...Seems like these two I'm most interested in as they seem to be slightly better engineered, I like the Breakaway for the auto release, and for the throttlemiser I like it's design since it seems it doesn't take up any throttle grip area.

I put a VistaCruise on my 1984 Goldwing and it worked great, so fast forward 30 years I thought I would put one on my new F6B but they don't make one to fit it. After contacting the company I decided buy the same one and see if I could make it fit. Long story short after a little filing, test fit and a little more filing it works great. I like it because it does the job and it's barely noticeable.

+1, very easy to install and adjust with threaded knob (even with gloves on). Can use either the thumb or index finger.
