Riding around Ventura Ca

Mrs Cobraguy and I will be spending 5 days in Ventura with nothing planned but riding and relaxing. I'd like some suggestions for rides and stuff to see.

Cold Springs tavern is pretty cool (old stage coach stop between Santa Barbara and Solvang).

Solvang is a nice ride and a quaint Danish tourist town (can do Cold Springs tavern for breakfast (venison, elk, etc.) and then Solvang for lunch).

Neptunes Nest on PCH is a biker hang out across the street from a surfer beach.

The Rock Store is open on weekends. Busiest day is Sunday (hard to get a table) and you can do both Neptunes and the Rock Store on the same day. Can ride the Snake (get your pictures taken by Rock Store Photos on Sat and Sun), Topanga Canyon, Mullhalland, etc. on the same day.

The Deer Lodge used to have good food, but since it was under new management, not so much (would recommend something else).

There is plenty of twisties and mountain roads to ride as well as the coast.

We'll be there Wed through Sunday. Been to the Rock store on a weekend, once was enough, dodging crotch rocketeers is no fun. I know one of the days will involve a ride up to Pismo for lunch at Moe's BBQ.

Love Moe's, about 3 miles from my house, in fact having a late lunch there in about an hr.

Big Larry I'm so jealous right now. When I go I have the Shredded Pork sandwich but I ask them to put it on the garlic bread and hold the slaw. So good...so good.

Had a great time in Ventura. Road a lot of new roads. A couple of my favorites were Decker Canyon from Thousand Oaks over the hill to the 1 north of Malibu. Very technical the wife opted for backseat on the Wing for that one. Another was Hwy 33 from Ojai up to 166 then west to Santa Maria. Tunnels, twisties, and mountains, fun fun fun.
