Out where I live , on a quiet night , you can hear a Chevy rusting. Ford must be doing something right. Best selling truck for the last hundred years or so. Since 1980 I've had 5 new F150's. No engine failures , no transmission failures , no differential failures and no rust. None of the five had any recalls and none of them had to go back to the dealership. Just bought my wife a new Jeep Cherokee on the 8th ofJuly. Two recalls already and one more pending. I've learned my lesson. As for the hold up on the car , I can tell you from experience that there may not be anything wrong with your seat belts. More than likely someone found one or two damaged assemblies in a shipping container. After that it was reported to a supervisor who did his job and notified NHTSA. Safety us the word when dealing with a safety device. The whole lot was probably recalled. There may not be another bad assembly on any car. Would you like to find the bad belt when some azzhole crosses the centerline and hits you head on? No thanks. I'll let them check belts and serial numbers and make sure its right. Dont blame Ford or the NHTSA. You might be patient and thank them for delivering you a safe automobile.

Put on your BIG BOY panties and deal with it, post this DRAMA on a Ford website ! :banghead:

This is a HONDA F6B MOTORCYCLE forum, don't want to hear about your unfortunate FORD experience that has the best interest of your safety at hand. Hire a Lawyer and seek damages. How is this bitching session going to change the situation? No one on here last I checked was from FORD's corporate office. Although we do have HONDA Corporate office visiting our website periodically.

Honda has a recall and suspended ALL sales of new F6B's and Full Goldwings until the defective part has been replaced before releasing any more to the public .... now if your video was in regards to the Honda recall, you might have our attention or not :icon_rolleyes:

Why is he making payments on it? I would just call the bank and explain the situation to them and tell them I am not making payments on something that is undelivered. It might make the bank put pressure on the Ford people. I be dammed if I make a payment on it. I would get my down payment back for undelivered goods.

The lender has nothing to do with the seller you can get your credit score lowered by not making your payment.
I had a friend try that, the lender told him they loan the money to him not the dealer.

Is this not the "Off topic section"? People on a Ford site already own them. Honda did NOT suspend the sale of my F6B, bought a month ago. The point of the video is to rattle Ford's cage and get them to do something without the help of Lawyers, who are partly to blame for the situation. The following is the tag from your posts:" Successful people build each other up. They motivate, inspire and push each other. Unsuccessful people just hate, blame and complain." Dog , if he didnt take delivery then he's not making payments on it. If he took delivery of the vehicle and then signed final papers then Ford would be obligated to provide him a vehicle to drive. If he didn't sign final papers then he shouldn't be making payments. Whats up OP. And yes , its the off topic section but we don't have to agree with you.

But not 4 seater Convertible with a substantial trunk. Camaro is $10K more and the wife rented one, didn't like it. Vulvas and Lexuseses are way over priced and not sporty looking, we are bikers, off roader, rootin' tootin Gun shootin' rednecks,(in California, go figure) not Prius driving Yuppies. We have shopped it do death prior to buying Another one, believe me. The back and forth here on the Forum has kinda helped me to vent a little. Last week when I saw the car it was parked out back with the keys in it. Tempted to go steal my own car. We may end up with a lawyer, but only as a last resort. It will be interesting to see how this will play out. Ford is less worried for my safety than they are about their liability, but clearly seem to be on the wrong course. I do appreciate the concern and insight offered so far here on this blog. :clap2:

AND what did FORD say or do when you SENT them the video first ??? We have become a litigious society :banghead: hence Ford working on a solution before you take pocession and possibly suffer any harm derived from the defective/damaged part.

Yes this is the "Off Topic" section ... whining, bitching and COMPLAINING about something that we have no control over nor a situation that has not run it's course is what most of us call DRAMA. You are new to this forum, you will notice that we are a large group of great individuals however DRAMA is not something that we promote on here nor have interest for. You then call a member a "Racist" with no valid reason other then a factual observation by another member calling a caucasian ... white.

Political Correctness = :bsII:. Let's just agree to disagree :icon_cool::yes:

If you are going to quote my tag line then read it carefully. You hate your situation, you're blaming others and you're complaining. There's no inspiration on your video. SUCCESSFUL people grab the bull by the horns, take control of their situation and resolve the issue at hand. If I was in your predicament, I would have cancelled the order and moved on. Sometimes you just have to cut your loses and live life without the headaches that YOU have control over.

You appear to be more concerned on how many views your video has had versus doing something about the situation.

FWIW, apparently FORD did get GuberMint money, just out of a different pocket (TALF versus TARP, very sneaky). Maybe that is why they pulled their bailout commercial slamming other auto companies as soon as it aired (FORD didn't want to get outed while pointing fingers).

So, I should not have purchased a ford super duty last week.

Complain all you want, it could be worse.
You could have purchased a Dodge hellcat from a dealer not authorized to sell, and paid in full up front, which by the way you won't receive for a year, if at all.
You could have a volkswagen 2.0 diesel
or a porche
or a harley
or a goldwing that heats up rear brakes.... (-: .

We live in a victim society now adays. It can't happen quick enough, nothing is our fault, no one documents anything, and the internet will broadcast our bitching.

I just purchased a 2013 F250 6.7L truck, for over 45K Before i purchased the tailgate was stolen at the dealership. I have documentation from the dealership that it would be replaced. Now it will cost them more than their profits on the sale, and take a few weeks. But i am ok with waiting, and will hold them accountable for the products they promised. it will take time, but i can wait. There is always a mediation or a way to settle it.

As long as we're all over the map now...I HAVE a VW with the 3.0 6cyl diesel- I love it, and I don't give a poop that they gamed the emissions tests...hope I don't lose too much torque, performance, mileage when they do whatever. Love the Honda and haven't gotten a recall notice...yet. I guess a lot of this is luck of the draw and what you are willing to put up with for a marque or vehicle you like. EVERYBODY has a horror story that they attach to a brand- oh well.

Last observation: OUR MOD AND ADMIN ARE TWO OF THE BETTER ONES I'VE SEEN ON THE MANY FORUMS I'VE BEEN ON. Neutral but assertive when necessary, opinionated, but even handed, (I know that's a contradiction, but they seem to manage to do both. Anyway- thanks for your work guys,; it ain't easy!

Last observation: OUR MOD AND ADMIN ARE TWO OF THE BETTER ONES OF SEEN ON THE MANY FORUMS I'VE BEEN ON. Neutral but assertive when necessary, opinionated, but even handed, (I know that's a contradiction, but they seem to manage to do both. Anyway- thanks for your work guys,; it ain't easy!

Rick that's funny you said that. I have a customer with a new diesel Passat. He loves it. 50mpg. I was telling him about how much money they set aside for compensation. He wanted to know what they was going to give everyone else cause he was experiencing a lot of pain and suffering. Lots of sleepless nights he said

I was an Audi guy...now...I guess VW we have the biggest and smallest- a beetle convertable, and the touareg. But about his pain and suffering...ahhhhhlet mommy kiss your boo-booo...yeah!

I am retired from one of the "big three" auto makers and get a great pension with all the benefits. Worked at their research and engineering center my entire career. I will never, ever ever ever purchase one of their products again. I filed lemon law paperwork on the last one I purchased. Had a serious problem (that I won't go into detail on) and made all the required service attempts at six to eight week intervals. Dealer had been notified of an upcoming service bulletin on the problem but had no fix for it yet. I eventually won my case but got treated horribly by the dealer. The service manager, once being notified by the company of my lemon law claim said that if I pursued it any further the company "was prepared to defend itself", which only pissed me off more. Three days later, he called and said that the company had offered to settle my claim by installing a new engine in the vehicle and also give me a five year 60K bumper to bumper warranty for free. I should note that the vehicle was less than six months old with less than 6K miles when I submitted the claim. Kind of "poisoned the well" if you know what I mean. A Honda Accord sits in my garage now.

I have owned many Ford pickups in my time; and still own one to this day. All of them have had problems. The below model years are approximate;

1. 1996 Ford F150 V6 - water pump went out early
2. 1998 Ford F150 5.4 V8 - rear window leaked three times after repairs; engine developed "piston slap" engine was replaced
3. 2001 Ford F350 7.3L Diesel - alternator died early, engine developed a infrequent starting issue (would spin but not fire) and no one could figure it out.
4. 2011 Ford F150 5.0 V8 - I think this one has "piston slap" as well; same audible symptoms.

I only continue to buy Ford's because I am familiar with them. And their inherent failures.... :icon_mrgreen:
