Sad, his factory was 30 miles from my house. Harley should have kept supporting him, but $$$ talks. Maybe someone else will follow his work, and buy the rights to his bikes and gear. How many times was "Indian" rescued?

Too many.

Too many for sure. However, sometimes when a company is rescued, it works out. I think "Triumph" has come back from the grave, to be a decent motorcycle company again. I would never trade my 6, for a Triumph, but they do make some nice bikes. iMO

On that note, Polaris has done a nice job with Indian too.

I came close to buying that blue cheiftan, and a good friend did buy that red roadmaster. I picked the right one for me!

Yes, I do like the looks of the Indians, never rode one, so I can't compare it to any other bike. Indian and Triumph both did well under new ownership. Would be nice if Buell got that lucky.

My brother-in-law owned a Buell. He said nothing but good things about that bike. Would probably still own it had a raccoon chose another time to dart across the highway.

Had I done more research I might have bought the Triumph Trophy instead of my Concours....

One of our boys bought an Indian Scout first year out. Yes it's not in the same class of bikes being discussed here but it is very fun to ride.. And very fast. If i ever own a V twin it'll be an Indian.

Like the new Indians--had a 2009 Triumph Bonnie for a couple of years---great bike for around town and such---these two companies are putting out some good bikes---
