Just found out that when the bike is in the locked steering position access to the front cubby is closed off. Nice for cubby security.

I keep a big black rubber spider in mine for security. Still nice to know they can't get to it easily.

You mean the cubby that locks? I wish the cubby on the front left locked too.

Yes, when the steering is locked the handlebars end up positioned over the cubby. Maybe a determined thief could wiggle or break the door off but that handlebar position acts as a decent deterrent. Long time wing owners probably already knew this. :icon_redface:

I'm new to Wing's too. This is my first. I actually thought it was a pita that the bars blocked the cubby door cuz you have to unlock the bars to get the cover off. :icon_lol:

I fixed that when I got the Kury cup holder cubby. It doesn't lock anyway.

I did pick up, over the weekend, a saddle bag lid organizer. Now I have a place to put all my little junk that was floating around everywhere and not locked up. :icon_cool:

Good idea. I sold my saddlebag liners with my earlier Wing, now have get another set. Plus I'm going to find out about a tool kit...Honda's or make one from scratch. They get 'em in Canada, why not us?

FYI, the saddlebag storage pockets are sold EACH, not in pairs. I thought I was getting two but nope. :icon_doh:

That should help keeping my wifes excessive amount of "required riding accessories" in tact! :icon_doh:

You know, it is school supply season and I bet a zip up pencil case with an outer net pocket or something similar will do the same thing for about a dollar or two. I'm going shopping today to have a look for an alternative. Maybe a mountaineering supply shop will have something even more durable for under 20.00. I'll look for some case liner alternatives while I'm there.
Cabella's has something like this for example. http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=753423&destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fproduct.jsp%3FproductId%3 D1315823%26destination%3D%252Fcatalog%252Fproduct. jsp%253FparentCategoryId%253D104795280%2526categor yId%253D104744880%2526subCategoryId%253D104438880% 2526productId%253D713848%2526type%253Dproduct%2526 destination%253D%25252Fcatalog%25252Fbrowse%25252F luggage%25252F_%25252FN-1100756%25252B4294715984%25252FNe-4294715984%25252FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104438880%25253FWTz_l%25253DSBC%25252 53BMM%2525253Bcat104744880%252526WTz_st%25253DGuid edNav%252526WTz_stype%25253DGNU%2526WTz_l%253DSBC% 25253BMM%25253Bcat104744880%25253Bcat104438880%26W Tz_l%3DYMAL%253BIK-516188&WTz_l=YMAL%3BIK-580418
