Today I got around to installing the carpet I cut from these templates. A perfect fit. What a great addition the light grey carpet makes. I can finally see inside the dark cave of a saddlebag. The price was right, the cost of postage and a piece of remnant carpet from Home Depot. If you folks haven't taken advantage of this you're missing out.

I just bought some parachute bungy cord and some black electrical screw clips and threw these together for less than ten bucks in materials.

First off,

Next, I'm not sayin' that I had the quickest turn, but it was purty darn quick. I got them about 4:00 this afternoon (3:57) and had them cut and back to the UPS store by 5:20. Lgjhn, I'll pm you the tracking number. This is the best group of riders anywhere.

But I can say the template matches the floor of the bags, perfectly, if that gives you an idea for fit or room.

Hey Folks - I just took my wifes unused yoga mat - they are about 1/8" and very pliable and come in lots of colors. They have a slight sticky to them so they don't slide around on wood floors. They traced and cut very easily and conformed nicely with all the curves and slipped under the bracket that holds the rubber strap for the owners manual on the left side. In other words they worked great and cost was nada.

I received the templates tonight. I'm going to use them this weekend. Just wondering what everyone used if anything to keep the carpet down on the bottom of saddlebags.

If some kind of adhesive or something was used, I didn't want to use something to aggressive in case I wanted to remove it later. I was thinking double back tape, but I'm not sure if that would be good enough. Looking for suggestions.

Home depot or Lowes sell gray floor mat carpet by the foot, which is rubber lined on the bottom.
Works great for visibility and won't slide around.
No need to glue down if you follow all the shapes of my template, it is an exact fit to the bottom of the bag.
