Hello everyone, I am new to the group. My name is Adrian (on here as Nightwing_67). Anyway, has anyone here ever taken the ETA motorcycle cruise? You know, you load up your ride and go on the cruise. Every Island that you go to, you go on a guided tour on your own bike. I am booked on one for Feb 2017 and wanted to hear stories, see pics or videos from others who have gone. Sooooo....anyone?

A few years back I went on a Royal Caribbean Cruise, Half of the ship was reserved for a HOG convention (which I wasn't informed about when I booked the cruise). They had a large venders event in one of the conference rooms 3 of the nights and some of the attendees did bring their bikes on board to cruise the islands. The rides were escorted by local authorities.

Formal Dinner night for the HOG passengers was jeans, chaps and t-shirts. As dinner was being served and we were departing from one of the islands where there was another cruise ship docked parallel to us … about 50-60 members of the HOG group walked up to the dining room window and bare assed 'mooning' the other cruise line, lots of camera flashes were seen from the other ship. It was humorous to say the least and yes, women were part of the group.

My wife and I were on a Royal Caribbean cruise in 2008, that left out of Bayonne, NJ, where there were a large number of bikes. Every morning, when in port, and we hit 6 islands, we heard them coming out of the bow of the ship. They looked like they were having a ball. One thing, depending on your destination, those Caribbean islands while flat out on the perimeter have not only steep inclines but wicked turns and mostly no guard rails as you go toward the center- translation = you're going to work. Up the hills is where you want to go because that is where the best views are. Also, the British Isles like Tortola, Bermuda and others the traffic is reversed. Most importantly, of course you wouldn't try it...but, when we were ready to disembark a girl was running around frantically because her boyfriend was being detained by Customs. It seems the drug sniffing dog had detected something in the frame of his bike and she was hyper-ventilating saying "I was advised to get a lawyer." Apparently, he brought home more than the regular St. Thomas kitchen magnet as a souvenir.

That must have been hysterical...although I am not a fan of being ostracized just because I choose to ride a non Harley motorcycle.

If you give us some more detailed information about your trip: actual dates, the cruise line and the cost = some of the east coast riff raff might just join you. 'gw-smiley''gw-smiley''gw-smiley''gw-smiley':039:

I'm going on a cruise, no motorcycle, April 1 for 10 days St. Thomas, P.R., St Maarten, Tortola. St. Maarten is the best, you pull into Phillipsburg and walk right to the beach, more importantly, Heineken is a domestic beer on the Dutch side.
