Reduction in cost of center stand?

On the official Honda site it appears that there are some changes in the costs of accessories for the F6B for 2016 versus prior years. Specifically, the center stand for 2016 now shows a retail of $140.95. On all prior year models, the center stand lists for $249.95. I'm assuming that there was no change in the center stand as it shows the exact same part number. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this.
Other online sellers now reflect this reduced price of $140.95 as well and refer to the $249.95 as the original price on the OEM part. 1963919640

I suspect that Mother Honda may have a large unsold inventory of center stands, due to the fact that they are available on E-Bay as "Take Off's" from Wing Trike Conversions. My 6 was a Basic and my first purchase was a "take off" for $25.00 from E-Bay. A quick search will reveal no less than a dozen+ stands, many with mounting hardware! That's good news for the Basic Model Owners and bad news for Honda, hence the now advertised discount price:icon_wink:

Thanks for the info! I didn't think about the possibility of using a Wing center stand. Are they exactly the same as the F6B stands (height, etc)?

Yes...buy them on Ebay, fresh paint or powder coat $30 in fasteners, 30 minutes done...don't forget the $2.25 in quarters to do the job !

something wrong with the prices you posted, online Honda shop brand new is 76.99 and the numbers don't match. maybe because it's an accessory it has something extra on it

Paid $20 for take off stand on flea-bay them $30 for all attaching parts from Honda. :yes:
