I have a standard F6B and could not find a heavy duty rear rack to sit over my passenger seat….being a retired machinist I decided to stop by a friends machine shop and build one myself..I decided to use the seat mount bolts and purchased the rack mount brackets from show chrome…The tall uprights are solid steel round stock which I heated and bent 90 degrees then bored a hole thru.Top plate is 1/4 alum. This sits a few inches above my mustang seat and follows the lines of the bike..I already had the lockable alum. suitcase so all in this ran me about $100. The chrome rack on top was a Harley tour pack rack ($52) ebay.Planning on riding from Cal. to New York and back some time next month...

Well, it's genius. I never thought about using a briefcase.
It's professional looking and if it holds what you need, then it's perfect.

For me? I prefer nothing back there, but I'm continuously amazed at the mechanical expertise shown by all who have constructed various luggages.

Cheers,
Steve

I don't like anything back there either but I figure for a 25 state ride and a month on the road I better think of something…..
