I just purchased this center stand from Ebay for $19.99 with free shipping. Not pretty, but a fresh coat of paint should help. It seems like all the install parts are included, except for the threaded pin that will attach the spring to the frame. Am I correct in this thought? If so, does anyone know the part number and a source to purchase one other than through my local dealer (I don't want to wait the amount of time it takes them to get a part in).
Thanks for any advice you might have.

I had to order that part also. Took at least a week via Partzilla. It didn't come with my 2015 standard.

Thanks. I've placed the order. I look forward to installing the center stand. There have been many times that using the side stand has made me nervous. The big beast doesn't seem safe on the side stand on anything but a perfectly flat surface.

Make sure you install the pin for the top of the spring first! It's says so in the directions, but did I follow them? It wasn't a disaster, I just undid the left side screw of the stand and it dropped off enough to get a wrench on it. Just trying to help from mistakes made. I used a brake spring tool to expand the spring. That was the toughest part of the whole thing. The coin method works too, from what I've read.

Thanks for the install tips, guys. I'm sure you saved me some time and aggravation. Normally, I would just forge ahead and figure it out (often with a lot of extra time and effort).

When you install the pivot bolt on the right side you will notice that it tightens counterclockwise. It took me a few attempts before figuring it out. To attach the spring to the pin I used a Philips screw driver. The tip prevents the screwdriver to slip off the pin as you stretch the spring to slide the hook over the pin.
