...do the 960s still rule the roost when it comes to light output? Obviously there are quite a few alternate offerings and am getting ready to invest in a set. Any updated guidance/insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

They do for me! I was more concerned with output than looks. Your "smilage" may vary.

I have all three lower cowl lights and the 960s still outshine all of them.

I have had the 960's on for two years now and they are on all the time night or day.Have had no problems at all with them and love the light they put out at night here in the Northern Nevada high desert which can get very dark.I know some do not like the looks but I feel they look fine.I give them a big 2 :yes:'s up.

I have read some threads that indicate the EC Six-Shooters put out more light than the 960's from those who claim to have had both, but they are only rated at 1,4XX lumens per lamp versus 1,920/lamp for the 960's.
