Hey, just got a new 2015 and it does not have a tool kit (only in Canada or New Zealand for some strange reason). Certainly, not a necessity but was wondering where I could get one. And, is it worth getting the Honda kit? I assume it has the tools needed for most things, rather than getting a generic set with tools I would not need.

Thanks

I just put together a small kit on my own. A cheap allen set, a cheap socket set...I figure someone will stop if I'm stuck.

The GL-1800A kit is the same as the B from what I've been told.
I was going to find an inventory of those tools and make my own kit.
One of these days.
The thought of this bike breaking down on me really hasn't occurred yet.

I bought a tool kit similar to this one:

Better to concentrate on obtaining a small portable air compressor and a tire plug kit. Walfart has both; made by Slime... reasonably priced to boot.

Nothing sucks worse than a flat tire on the open road... and lacking a plug kit to quickly fix it and be back on your way.

Concur. That is pannier space well occupied.

That's amazing :icon_lol: I was actually looking at that about 10 minutes ago; but ultimately decided to remove it from my WingStuff online shopping cart... but bought a bunch of other "things" :icon_wink:

When I've looked at my F6B about the only tools I may need would be those to remove the passenger backrest and the seat to get too the relays. I put together a tool kit with enough tools to remove the backrest, seat and remove both front and rear tires. I only carry that kit when I'm traveling on trips. Tire plugger and slim pump, credit card, towing insurance for a role back other times.

That is a very good idea. 6mm for the passenger rails and 5mm for the passenger backrest (I have the BikeMP3 luggage rack so the screw size "could" be different from OEM.

I also ordered motorcycle "jumper cables" as well.. there has dead batteries before....

An AMA membership (http://www.americanmotorcyclist.com/membership/join):

The best towing/support package on the road, and it covers EVERY vehicle you ride in - motorcycle or cage. And of course you support a great organization, too!
