After a ride today with the wife and 3 buddy's.100 miles to no where for lunch & back.
We are heading home looking forward to a cold 1 & a shower.
We where coming to our road slowed down to make a left Turned my signal on and here comes a truck pulls up to the stop sign of the road I am turning in.
He making a left before he even gets there blocks half my lane.
Happens all the time I know! After 45 years riding they are still trying to get me!
But I swing left peg is dragging scares the wife she flips right
I am oh $hit power pole in front of me I lean hard make the turn.
Wife says sorry it scared me!!
Well I got a cold 1 & a shower wife is not mad so I guess I win?

Glad you are okay, Seems like every day I ride now has some asshat doing something stupid.
Rather than relaxing riding is getting to be more of a survival stunt lately. Now with Fall coming the Deer and other critters will be moving more to add to the excitement. Bout hit a rather large Possum this morning.

I stopped riding to work in Point Loma CA (San Diego), because of the dead skunks all over the road. :puke:

Certainly something to ponder everytime the weather gets bad.
Not much lightning in Southern California for some reason, maybe we're lucky (?)

Lots of skunks, racoon and possum on Point Loma for some reason.. even a coyote or two.

The deer rut pretty heavy where I am starting about Octoberish. I have hit one, on my VFR, running 60MPH. Bike totaled, gear totaled, left hand totaled, and legs 3rd degree burns. All that said, I am far more nervous about the other drivers around here than the wild life. I would like to think that the F6B would fair a bit better than the VFR did due to its girth. I’m on night shift so half of my commute is always dark, time for some extra lights. Oh yeah...there’s all the piles of corn and beans in the curves and on the road from the farmers, really have to slow down this time of year.

We have a lot of road kill too but the worst obstacle here, especially in the summer heat, is the TAR SNAKES. Lay your bike over on a nice curve and it's like riding on patches of ice.

I'll second that! The tar snakes in Utah are just as bad!
