Phantom6B is home, just arrived 2 hours ago.

I would like to THANK everyone that made the Rally a great success, from the supporting vendors, members on this forum, Hotel staff and specially all of the attendees.

I can not say this enough times ...... What a group of great people !!!!

I will be posting photos and more about this FANTASTIC weekend within the next 24 hours. Just a brief report.... some attended only one day, some came for 2 days, some came for 3 days, some came for 4 days and a couple just visited for a few hours. We had a total of 30 attendees and 24 bikes (Goldwings, Runes, F6B's and one Bergman650) throughout the 4 days.

Those that did not attend missed out on a great time . NEXT year will be even better and that is a promise. In order to avoid 2014 rally attendees from bringing spare OFF-ROAD tires, GPS's will be banned from the 2014 event :duck:

Thank You attendees ..... for the great suggestions to make our Rally even better next year.

Many thanks Phantom from all of us. You went above and beyond. Many thanks to Steve also and all the great folks we met. Memories made for sure and we'll make the next one some where whenever we can. And to all that did not make this one make it a mission to make the next one. I got many pictures and when I figure out how to post them I'll get em rolling. We're just about one inch above dial-up here and it is aggravating. I'll need some of them peg saver pads about two inches long to make sparks like the Big Dawg. Later all.

Thanks Phantom! I enjoyed those pics. Did anyone do any bike swapping? It's fun to see how other accessories work on a bike before you buy them.

Looks like no one runs an OEM shield! LOL! Sheild manufacturers MUST be loving the F6B!

Scotrod- no one at the rally this year had a stock windshield on their bike. Everyone was running something different. Was nice to see all the different ones to see what works for you or not. So many companies offer different options.

Looks like ya'll had a GREAT time. Pics were nice to see thanks Phantom6B! Man I hate to ride in the rain! I don't mind the getting a little wet part as I do dress for it with rain gear. I just hate the water spots that get ALL over the bike! :icon_biggrin:

I was technically at the rally although only for a couple of hours on Friday. Anyway I run the stock screen and like it. I wear a full face helmet and it eliminates any buffeting. You do however get some wind noise. One of the reasons I traded my Victory Vision was because it had too much coverage and I needed a little more breeze. When I was running stripped down Electra-Glides in the Late 90's (they would call them Street Glides now) I would cut down the screen to about 2" high in the center. It keeps the breeze coming from the front and not swirling around from behind. Choice is good. Plus to me a F6B with a tall shield looks like a Goldwing without a trunk, which I guess is what it is LOL!

Good times! Tracy and I had a blast. My boys annihilated the chicken. Thanks!

Keep me posted if there is anything I can do to help out next year.

Are there any updates on Dwight?

This was posted last night by Miles:
# 1...Dwight Kelley was transfered from the medical center last Friday, at 3:27 pm, and was transfered to the Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. He was NOT released, as we were told. He does not even remember being transported in the ambulance later that day, from the medical center to the hospital in Asheville, as he thought he was simply changing rooms. That is how far out of it he was...and is.

He is in Room # 527, at the Mission Hospital, ,in Asheville, NC.

When I talked to him last, on Monday, he was getting set to have a couple operations, to have pins set into both wrists. His ribs hurt, DUH !, and he had bleeding from his spleen.
He "says" he had no head injury, which I believe he is wrong, as in the 3 times I have talked to him, he was not lucid.

The bike is 100 % destroyed. Nothing salvageable.

I think you do have it included above but now that you have drawn attention look closely at the 4th bike in and it has a stock wind screen!

You are correct, I'm losing my mind .... somewhere above is the bike front and center , I believe this is your F6B

That's it. I recognize the helmet. Short wind screens are cool! But coolness has its price!

I like tall-ish (below eye level) screens for the bugs,,, Seems like semi-tall screens do well with all but the biggest of bugs, but rattle yer noggin,, Short screens pretty much kill the rattle, but my 3XL noggin with a full helmet makes a basketball seem small,,, At highway speeds, I either need stronger neck muscles,,, or maybe a tow-rope from the shield to my chinbar!!!

At 5ft 6in and a Shoei Neotec i feel right at home with stock windshield. My Fjr screen was all the way up and i still got more wind....i guess it came around it.

Phantom6b,

Do you know what type of hitch and hitch-rack is on the black F6B?

I have a PakitRak on my current scoot and would like to know what the options are for the F6B.

TIA

That F6B with trailer belongs to Steve 0080, I believe that it is a Bushtec and the Hitch came from Bushtec as well.

I think the cooler is from Bushtec also.

Was that the suction cup fail? I don't use mine anymore for that reason.

Many thanks to Phantom and Steve for hosting our first F6B Gathering.
We had to leave abruptly on Sunday morning due to Very intense pain on my right side and had to get back home for medical assistance. I did end up in the hospital for a two day stay while they TRIED to figure out what is wrong with me. They were saying gall bladder, then lungs, and now they are looking at my liver. More testing to come.
It was great meeting all of you and we are looking forward to next year.

Ernie, please let us know what the testing proves out to be. I wish the best for you. It was very nice to meet you and Lynn at the rally.

Thank you again for the nice plaques you made for my bike, and for all our bikes.

Please keep me informed on what the docs say.
