Too much chrome and the music sux. Other than that she's a beauty.

Almost bought one but changed my mind later...Looks nice with the Corbin bags and a Honda windshield if your willing to spend another $2500 to the price of the bike...Lighter, faster, better forks, etc. than the F6B, so the testers say, but I am perfectly fine with my F6B..Some say it is a better cruiser/muscle type bike than a tourer???....Ride safe

I don't think there is a 2016 Valkyrie. The 14s and 15s can be found for $11k brand new. When I was looking, they were still asking full retail for them.

The butt ugly frame weld, it sticks out like a sore thumb and the passenger seat, if you bought that you might as well buy that shirt that says, " IF YOU CAN READ THIS THE BITCH FELL OFF" cause that rear seat isn't going to keep anyone on it when you twist the throttle on that thing.

The new Valkyrie looks like they used parts from three bikes and threw them together. VTX, Ruin, F6B.
I loved my 2000 Valkyrie. Sold it to buy the F6B. That is a great bike. Not a fan of the new Valk. Two thumbs down!:no:

They're good bikes. Got a buddy that has one. Feels 200 lbs lighter than the B. And we all know the B doesn't feel heavy. Great riding machine.

I don't think it's ugly, but not as nice as the B. I was thinking if I could get one real cheap, it would be a good knock around bike.

Test drove it, but the ride seemed the same to me as the B. I liked it, but by the time you put a screen on and bags, it does not look so hot. I wanted a screen and bags so I bought the B

The maroon one is the best looking. More chrome and the color looks richer.

"Straightwings" - a member on this forum - has one with bags.
He got a stupid great deal on it.

You could PM him for some first hand details.

Not wild about the wheels. Nor the butt ugly saddlebags (Corbin, you say? Christ they're turning out some crap these days)....makes it look like a Pacific Coast.

But....with the demise of the Rune....I guess if you spent enough time and money on the idea, you could come up with a decent looking rocket after a fashion.

I could almost live with it being a lighter and more 'flickable' F6. My problem is the huge rear fender which doesnt go with the bike. A fender should at least appear to be full of a tire, this looks empty to me.
For 11K though it's worth considering and remodeling that butt ugly rear end...

Having owned and enjoyed 2 Valk Tourers (98,99) this thing didn't even get a second look.
0f course, I didn't much of the Rune, either.

I think I agree with you on the new Valk, love the old Valk. However, we depart on the Rune. I own a 05, love that bike.

I like it. I think it has a tough look to it. Great prices, too.

But, I would want bags, a full windshield and a stereo. I think they call that an F6b!

Oh my, more knocks on my forlorn PC800 :icon_wink:

I bought my PC new in 1997, kept it 6 months and traded it for a '97 Valkyrie. The poor thing set there on the sales floor for several months, unsold. I keep eyeing it every time I dropped by the dealership. I saw one at the Honda Hoot in Asheville with a Givi Trunk and it didn't look so scooterish; so I bought it back. It has been a great bike ever since. I rode it from Johnson City, TN to Anchorage, AK. It is as comfortable as my F6B and my CTX1300. It grows on you.

For what its worth, I owned a 2014 with a Corbin Seat, Honda Bags, and Windshield. I traded it in on a F6B. The Valkyrie handled terribly with its strange size front wheel. You needed to power through a turn or it would drift wide. Also the front tire is only available as a Honda part in this country. I replaced it with a different brand and size tire and the handling did improve. It did however, go smoothly over bumps without the Anti Dive Valve of the F6B. However, the F6B beats it in the turns and pretty much all other categories. I do not regret trading it in.

Two of the most fun bikes I ever had - a 94 black on and a 97 red one. Put on over 75k miles on those two, about 40k two up. Still miss them.:icon_doh:

Guy right down the street from me just put his PC up for sale. Rode up to Honda of Marysville (old home of the Goldwing) and they had a used Rune on the floor kinda a blue color and it was debadged (poorly) and had some crazy single knob adjustable windshield on it that was the weirdest thing I ever seen? They was asking almost 17k for it.

The size of the front tire really limits the choices. Plus, I've watched the vids and read the reviews that state the riding position isn't that comfortable being more a a clam shell position.

It was probabaly a Corbin Trimtab adjustable fairing, which thankfully is no longer made.:crap:
