Bike MP3 rack

I am looking to purchase some bungees or straps to strap stuff down to my Bike MP3 rack. I am looking to see what others are using and where to purchase. I was thinking about a bungee net or helmet net.

I have a bunch of these. They don't scratch and you can configure them in so many ways with bungees. They work great on the passenger grab handles.

I gathered all my bungies and tie down straps from Ace.

A cargo net is a must have. I was able to secure everything together - 2 bags, rain gear, cameras, ect.

And the net allows quick on and off access to coats, maps, rain gear, cameras, ect.

The little 6" red bungies with the ball on the end worked perfectly.

Both bags had locking straps, so we strapped the larger bag to the MP3 rack and the smaller bag to the larger.

I also bought two yellow bungies to tie the bottom of the bag to the under side of the Mp3, rear.

No problems whatsoever in 3000 miles.

My Buddy had the trailer that week...:icon_frown:

Those are used with ratchet straps or something similar. They wrap around a bar or something else and then the clasp from the ratchet strap attaches to both ends. They are good if your tying down your bike in a trailer. You wrap around the soft ties to your triple tree and/or frame and then attach it to the ratchet strap. Don't know if I would use them with a bungie cord or not.

Yep, Bill has it. They have loops on each end. You can wrap em around the grab handles or you can loop them on themselves through the grab handles. That gives you two lengths. They work pretty good for bungees. They also can go around the backrest to secure a bag that way.

I use these Rok Straps for strapping my bags down to my rack. I have both sizes but I would recommend the 60 inch which is one inch wide and has a great amount of strength. The 42 inch ones are ok for smaller needs.

They are adjustable. Tie your load down and then pull on the end to tighten. Much, much stronger than any bungee cord I've ever had.
