Hello all,

Apologies as I know this must've been asked and answered a thousand times, but I am looking for a 5-6 night bag for the back of my fairly stock new F6B for my first serious ride. Live in Texas but want to run the Talimena trail from AR to OK and back to Dallas in late Sep. Any recommendations for a luggage set to fit on back of bike that is still manufactured? Everything I have found is from 2014 and no longer available. Appreciate any guidance...

I have one of these andlike it pretty well.It expands and can fit a large amount of luggage. I also has wheels and a telescoping handle to cart it into your room or where ever.

The down side is it doesn't sit well on the stock luggage rack. I made a platform out of 3/8" black ABS to enlarge the surface area of my OEM luggage rack. This allowed the luggage to sit flat as intended and be supported. The platform I made installs and removes easily from the OEM luggage rack. If you have an aftermarket , larger luggage rack this wouldn't be an issue.

Consider one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002PKDBSG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This one has a built-in semi-rigid base that makes it better for mounting on a rear rack.

I like my Kreiga US 30, US 10 combo. I can get at least 6 changes of shirts, underwear & socks along with a toiletry kit in it. It's completely waterproof without a rain cover. Mine lays length wise on the passenger seat and extends slightly onto the luggage rack. Easy to carry in to the motel.

I don't know if I'm supposed to tell where I got it since it's not available at one of our board sponsors.:shhh:

I just ordered and received one of those in black, from Amazon.com

It is a nice bag. Happy with it! :icon_biggrin:

I've been using this for 2 years and it has been through the worst downpours and all kinds of weather and nothing gets in that bag, solid as a rock and the hard base is a plus, highly recommended.

Thank you, I had looked at that one as well and hoped to see this vendor at the upcoming rally.

Thank you Jimmy - at one point in my saner moments I actually looked at the yellow boat bag I already have similar to this. Survived a mini-hurricane in the Caribbean so likely would withstand a trip through the Ozarks. Thanks for the idea.:8:

This works for me....sturdy and has multi tie down points. Fits on back of seat or MP3 rack. Been through some heavy rains and contents stayed dry. Also has some reflective touches.

Thank you all for your help. I ended up with a Saddlemen BR3400 and happy with the capacity (I could live for 2 weeks outta this thing...heck I might could live IN this thing!) but strapping it down securely is puzzling. Any suggestions?

The GIVI bag looks like just the ticket. Excellent choice for road trips. Once you realize it's beginning to pour down rain, finding a place to pull off on the interstate to attach a rain fly can be tricky. Great choice, load it and forget it.

I have an Israeli Army duffel that almost looks like that... :icon_cool:

North Face duffel bag and two backpacks secured with Rok Straps is all I need. Easy to load and unload. I keep the goodies I need most in the backpack pockets.Rear backpack is secured to backrest extension.22709
