Black Hills Ride

I took a quick ride up to the Black Hills last week. As long as I was there I rode through Sturgis. It was the first official day of the Rally, so it was plenty busy but not crazy. I noticed plenty of vacancies at motels in nearby Deadwood. Here are a few pictures.

Main street had lots of bikes (99% H-Ds) but there was still room for more.

You always see some nice custom machines. Actually this was in Hill City which also reserves its main street for motorcycles.

I wasn't the only Goldwing rider in Sturgis. There's a little of everything there.

Weather was perfect. I always prefer riding the Black Hills to the Sturgis scene.
