I'm getting close to needing a new set. This makes my decision easy.

I am sure this is a great "marketing ploy" by Avon and hope is works for most.....but if your tire shows wear marks early it will be interesting to see how much they will offer..Most tire manufactures that offer this wear deal pro-rate them down to $25-50 when the buyer makes a claim on tread life......Ride safe

The other big caveat for me is that the warranty is only two years OR 15000 miles. Living in the upper midwest there is no way I can put on 15,000 miles in two years.

If you'd sell that trailer you could. :icon_lol:

True, but a set of avons are over a 100 bucks cheaper per set than the e4's I was considering. Now if they don't make
It to 15000 they'll be even cheaper.

Show me where the "new" Avons are over $100 cheaper per set than the E-4's...I paid $368 for my Dunlops.....Regards

I apologize, I went back and repriced them. I must have inadvertently put in the wrong size on the avons. They are priced almost the same.:banghead:

That's okay, we all make mistakes at times...I almost did the same thing before I realized I had the wrong size tire listed....Avons or Dunlops both are great tires....

Yep! Read the fine print. Back in 1973 I used to sell tires. They started off with 12/32 tread (if I remember correctly from 43 years ago). If there was a problem and it was worn down to 6/32 tread, then the tire was half price to replace it. So I am guessing that if the tire wears out at 12K miles, then you will get 20% off a new one.
