We are starting to lose the good weather for this ride and need to put it together fairly soon to get it accomplished. I have 3 ready to go so far and waiting on word from 2 more. We need to pick a weekend with good weather that we can all get together on but are sadly lacking in communication coordinating this ride. Let us know what your thoughts are....

I am available Saturday September 10th. If that works I was thinking about what we discussed, meeting up in Standish around noon at say A&W and riding up US-23 to Alpena to M-32. Riding across M-32 to M-33 by Atlanta and down M-33 all the way to Algers and I-75. I would plan on stopping every hour if this works let me know, if you are thinking something else just post it and we can work it out.

Weather permitting of course, Mike and I were in an all day rain last year in Ohio going down to Value Accessories and I would rather not experience that again if we don't need too. That sounds like a good ride.

The 17th is too late for F6B1911 as he is traveling to the Rally in Russellville, Arkansas probably later that week so that's to close to his preparations for the trip. We hope you can make the 10th but if the 11th would work better let Rtaz or me know in advance.

Some plan changes recently may allow some free time for me on the 10th so I can at least meet in Standish and then ride for a while with you guys..Maybe to Rose City then I need to head home...I will keep Seadog posted if I can make it...Perhaps meet F6B1911 on I-75 somewhere and ride together...Hope the weather is good in any event.....Regards

Hoping to be available to go. I'm working in Fort Wayne 6 days a week at the moment, so we'll see if the project is over by then.

Looks like the 10th may turn out to be a bad weather day!!!...I just saw the 10 day forecast and it calls for a 60% chance of rain....."Damn" one of the few times I can be free and Mother Nature looks like she going to exercise her wrath!!!!....Hope the forecast changes later, but I will not hold my breath.....Ride safe

This is Michigan ... our weather people can't predict the weather when they're getting rained on. Don't worry it will work out.

I have a new rain suit I haven't even had a chance to use yet.

Not another all day rain, it took me a week after that last one Mike to clean up my bike. There is too many place in this machine for the rain to leave all kinds of dirt and debris.

You guys can ride in the rain all you want, but this "old fart" has been there and done that to many times over the past 30+ years of riding to even think about it!!...I am now a fair weather guy and hope to stay that way....Lets hope Mother Nature is good to all on the planned days.....Regard and ride safe....

Today is 9/2....we have a lot of time before 9/10...I won't be riding in a all day rain either. That's why "We can call Sunday 9/11 as plan B." I try not to get concerned until I see a relevant radar screen and a weather forecast maybe 24 hour before an event.

Plan B on the 10 day forecast is looking better the closer we get to the ride. But we will lose opas ride cause he is a church going man. I am hoping these other guys make it from Ft Wayne and Michigan City.
Like you said this is still Michigan and 24 hours before the ride will give us a better look at the weather.

I live in Toledo, Ohio. Once you meet in Standish how many miles are you ridding from there? And are you planning on returning to Standish?

Just kicking around the idea.

Depends on the weather, but could be up to 194 miles?? It's a beautiful ride.

We have planned to turn onto M32 at Alpena and follow that out to M33 south and head to Rose City for a stop at the Faulls restaurant. After that we are breaking up and going our own way back home. The guys that live to the south can follow M33 down to I-75 and the guys from Western Michigan and jump on M55 and head west. Rtaz of course lives in Oscoda and he know what route to take back home. If the weather permits of course and the forecast hasn't changed for Saturday as they are saying scattered thunderstorm. If that stays in the forecast then we go to plan B which is riding it on Sunday the 11th.

From Standish back to Standish is around 200 miles.

Forecast saying 90% chance of scattered thunderstorms on the 10th so that kind of isn't a good thing for riding on the 10th and maybe plan B is going to be the better option. We will keep monitoring the weather.

I don't want to confuse anyone so I will just repeat our plan for this ride. We will be meeting at A&W in Standish at noon for a ride up US-23 to Alpena were we will take M-32 west to the Atlanta area were we will turn south on M-33 and ride down through Mio and stop in Rose City. From there it is a straight shot down M-33 to Algers and I-75. Now some folks will be splitting off M-33 going east and west before reaching I-75 the folks from down State can easily stay on M-33 and head south bound when they reach I-75. The ride round trip from the Standish area and back is around 200 miles.

Right now the weatherman is predicting bad weather for Saturday 9/10 with 80% chance of thunderstorms so if that is the case then we will do the ride Sunday 9/11 which is showing right now 0% chance of rain. If anyone is interested in this ride please feel free to just show up or message me. If you haven't joined the Michigan Riders group and plan on riding in Michigan I suggest you do, it's easy http://hondaf6b.com/group.php?groupid=7

Yup....Sunday 9/11 at A&W in Standish at 12 noon...have a full tank. I plan on stopping in Oscoda, Alpena, Fairview and Rose City. I hope this to be the first of many rides here in Michigan. Remember if you have a friend bring them along I am not a bike specific rider it's all good.
