View Full Version : Dragging in corner?

Ok of know I might not drive as hard many but I easily go faster through corners than my harley friends whose bike are screeching painfully, and I have yet to drag anything other than my heels hanging off my folding pegs on valve covers. So my question is those who say they scrape what the heck are you dragging?

The acorn nut that holds on the rubber pad on the bottom of the front foot pegs.

Belly pan, driver foot pegs, front crash bars, muffler, heat shields and the nuts that hold them on. All though I did manage to get the bags, windshield, passenger back rest.

You must work extra hard at hitting the windshield and passenger backrests, are you sure your tires are on the bottom side when that happens.lol

I bought the titanium pucks for saving the pegs and throwing pretty sparks when scraping pegs and they're great.

I drag quite a few pieces and am going to be upgrading my suspension soon.

Yea up side down into the opposite ditch. Missed the deer. I needed about 3 more feet of tar and a bit more lean angle and it would have been a "did Ya see that"moment. Instead it was a oh f---- moment. And that's how you change a black F6B into a yellow one.

Acorn nuts, belly pan, mufflers, lower frame.

Like JimmyTee, new suspension is in work....

Geez you guys...! That sure is a lot of stuff to be scraping! I've only scraped my Kury Kinetic pegs. I must not be leaning over far enough :icon_lol:

This would be of great concern. I don't like how the Ergo III's stick out so far with that main swivel mechanism.

I would agree, a suspension upgrade goes a long way toward putting a stop to that. And it adds an additional safety factor!!

Maybe it's because I mechanically lowered my bike 1" but I always scrape the kick stand foot when making hard left turns. Or maybe it's just because the road is graded the wrong way. Yeah, that's it, It's all those damn highway workers fault! 'angel'

Do those titanium pucks hold up pretty well against wear? The stainless steel hex bolts that I have JB Welded under my Kury Kinetic pegs are really sacrificing themselves...

Yes, they do a great job since more than 20,000 kilometers. I Love them. They are a bit pricey but compared to their endurance are worth it.

I would imagine if you were to come off the bike, it would have much less of a lean angle and you wouldn't scrape so much. I find it more fun letting the bike do the work though.

In a lefty, hit a bumb and srapped pretty good. I dialed up my adjuster and that particular corner was clear the last time. It raises the back just enough. But if you push it you will scape pegs. This bike is very capable . I love my WAR MACHINE.

What brand of tires are you guys running? Any tire secrets to share?
