Are the bolt holes not aligning?

You've got the front tab to tuck under and then the bolts to align.

What isn't working?

We got it now... they were not lining up. Had to call in the expert (my wife) to help.

Next time use 4 Phillips round body screw drivers to get you started....The drivers will "hunt" the hole then just pull one at a time and insert bolt. You can also thread on a nut and grind the bolt to a point or at least sharper than blunt this will also help hunt the hole !!!

Next time you remove the seat take the opportunity to clean out the Frame Seat Boss Threads. Unfortunately Mother Honda allowed "powder coat overspray" to enter the threaded holes during manufacturing.
