Quiet Ride
A question for the hive, or a poll of sorts.
What brand of rubber do you find to be the ‘quietest’?
I personally thought the original Stones were pretty good, but I went with E4s because of the better claimed life span, but boy, they are a noisy tire. And when they get older, they get louder. Holy moly.
What are your experiences?
-
I liked the Stones on my F6B no issues I now have E4's which have about 15,000 miles on them and I didn't notice any more noise. Both are good tires, The only differences I noticed is on tar strips the E4 seem slippery.
So I have not voted yet.

I run nothing but Bridgestones on front of mine. My opinion Dunlops are dangerous. They have little to no grip on tar snakes and on a wet road they are worst. As for the rear I am dark sider and prefer a Pirelli on the back.

I found the Dunlops on my Valkyrie to be very slippery on the wet roads, I really preferred the Avons. On my B I have had such excellent mileage and traction from the Bridgestones that I find no reason to switch. Getting about 17 - 18 thousand out of the back and 22 thousand out of the front. Could probably get a 1000 or so more out of each, but I don't like to wear to low on the tread.

My opinion is the same as Jack B...regards

Always had great service from AVON's, mileage, ride, handling, wet or dry. Been using them since 2006, great tire.
