Low 70s in Western NY. Rode to work for the 62nd time in 2016 and took the scenic route home along Lake Ontario. Tunes were on "Shuffle All" and a steady 57 mph on Lake Road. Didn't want to go home, but it was dusk and tomorrow is opening day of long gun season here. Wiser and older these days. Still reeled off 8,400 miles for the season.
They do make cold weather clothing for motorcyclists :icon_wink:
Leathers work great; with Gerbing underneath
I'll ride until the first salting of the roads. Then I'm finished until some good rains wash that crap away..
totally agree willtill. A couple years ago I picked up a Firstgear one piece winter weather / waterproof riding suit ($199 at Revzilla). I am not winning any awards for style, but this thing keeps me warm and dry into the 40's. I can layer up and ride into the 30's if I really want to. Its an economical way to extend the riding season.
I also will ride till they salt the roads. Cold doesn't really bother me when dressed properly on this beast
Same here out on the rock. Typical cold wet fall but a few dry days here and there up in the 50's. I was out as late as last sunday for a run. I keep the bike ready to roll all winter but when they start spreading salt that is usually the end of the riding season.
