You need to pay attention to your poster while riding. Try not to tense up. I find myself doing that all the time.
Shoulders relaxed, upper arms downward as much as possible. If you rest your hans on the grips, aline the bars to the natural angle of your wrists.
You don't want to reach too much but don't want the bars in your gut when turning. Getting tense is the big factor. You don't realize when your doing it.

I had to "reset" my Helibars because I installed a new Ultimate seat and felt they could use some tweaking. Loosened all the adjustments and pulled bars back and up, then just moved things till it felt wonderful again. I find the wrist angle adjustment as a godsend. Just keep tweaking.

Did you get your bars adjusted right?

Remember to torque the bars very easy to damage the threads.
