Rode Solo Motors on Hardly Ablesons of questionable heritage and deteriorating rode worthiness. Had 3 H-D FXPOS's: rode one; fixed one & kicked the crap outta the other one when I got off duty. Sort of a 'whipping boy' bike. Finally issued the great

Hi guys, just joined the forum; this is as good a place as any to introduce myself, I suppose!
"Previous" is kinda a weird word for me, since I'm one of those weird hoarder-types. The idea of SELLING a motorcycle is tantamount to blasphemy for me; I've sold a few over the years but always regretted it.
So, my stable includes, in no particular order:
1929 Harley-Davidson JD (almost finished restoration)
1931 Harley-Davidson VL (I ride this one a lot)
1935 Harley-Davidson VL hillclimber
1972 Honda Mini Trail
1977 Honda GL1000 (working on twin-turbo setup on this one)
'70s (unsure) Jawa Speedway bike
And, as of TOMORROW, a 2013 F6B Deluxe!
I've been riding since I was eight, just getting ready to turn 42. I love all bikes and feel that each and every bike has its place in the world.. though sportbikes have never been my style. Although the RD400 I had in college was fun.. sold that one and have kicked myself ever since.
Previously owned 3 other Hondas, GL1800, St1300 and VTX1300. All great bikes. Like this one best of all!

I have owned my 2013 Black Deluxe F6B for 3 weeks and have no doubt this is the best bike I have ever owned...and can't imagine buying another motorcycle. I have been riding for 30 years (I'm 48). I was thinking of buying another HD and rented a 2013 Electra Glide this summer (sold the last bike a couple years ago). It felt like it was going to fall apart, wobbly, high center of gravity, everything seemed loose (brakes, clutch, suspension, steering, etc.) Maybe because it was a rental and had been rode hard, but if I recall it only had about 8,000 miles on it. My wife didn't enjoy it at all (probably because I didn't feel very secure on it myself), but after a short ride last week on the F6B she said it was her favorite of all of them.
If you are on the fence....jump down and go buy that F6B.
About 20% former H-D owners, and it looks like the overwhelming majority of you are or were cruiser owners... Honda got something right in terms of how it packaged this bike.
Then there's guys like me who are the sport-touring types who wanted something with better comfort and weather protection (with an aftermarket screen of course) along with the great looks.
I think this bike is a really sweet package, I hope it's around for a long time.
