29 - my matte silver standard should be here in the next 5-10 days. can't wait!!:icon_mrgreen: rode one at the Hollister dealer last Thursday and bought mine on Friday, I just knew i wanted it. I had a 2001 kawi zr-7s with cortech saddlebags that fit a 6 pack perfectly along with my lanzar speaker setup, removed all the emission crap and re-jetted it. I miss my - what i called cruiser. The f6b was incredibly large looking when i arrived for my test ride, when the salesman hopped on to bring it out for me i noticed how effortless he brought it up to the 12:00 position. Sold the zr in 2010(with regret), bought a cbr600rr last august(hated, fast, still hated) - sold in april. I just know i don't want to hop around different bikes, i want to grow with one and be one with it, i confidently believe i'm there. Never was a harley fan:shhh:
Anybody near for a group ride - I'm down Yosemite?
I just turned 58 in June. I have owned the F6B for a week now and love it. I had a 91 ST1100 and have missed it since I sold it several years ago. The old ST was a little tall for me. The F6B is a lot like the ST just better for me in almost every way. Big Red and I plan to do a lot of happy miles together. Could not be happier at this point.
54 going on 25...
Im 65, don't think of myself as old, and dig f6b keeps me young
I will be 60 on Christmas Eve this year. This is my 119th bike and probably my favorite of them all.
55 and just got my 3rd wing. First was a brand new 1981 when I was a young punk of 21. Got married a few years later and had to sell it. Second was a 1976 had for a few years and traded it towards a car we needed. Hopefully nothing similar will befall this one. :icon_rolleyes
First post and all. I picked up my new out of crate 2015 deluxe F6B in blue metallic on the 1st of this month. The progression has been Yamaha V-star classic --> 92 Goldwing --> Yamaha Roadstar --> Honda St-1300 and then I had a lapse of judgement and got married and sold the bike. Now that I am recently divorced and decided to dive back into the motorcycle world! I loved the look of the F6B so I bought one! I am 26!
68 plus
AGE 54 Sept 5 2015, F6B when I retire next year.
50 in January.
Im 63 and I refuse to grow up.
54 and the proud owner of an F6B (black '13 model) for all of one week. Spent eight years on a VTX 1300R before this and several years with a Suzuki Volusia prior to that. Still getting to know my new ride . . . plan on making the owner's manual my new favourite 'book' over the next month or so.
Best answer for this thread is: follow the money.
I will turn. 69, on the 11th of Nov.
Benn riding for over 57 years now, and don't intend to quit anytime sooooooooon!
When I told my friends I was buying a Goldwing all of them said.....And old fart guy bike laughing, (I'm 55 years young) since most of them are around 30's early 40's and, none of them knew about the F6.....Now, I noticed that some off them can not take the eyes out of her...LOL.
But, I see for this poll that the age of most us, owners range from early 40's up to 65's.
So, My question is; Is the f6 most appealing to middle age guys like us?
What you think?
Just curious......
For me the answer lies with the economy. Folks our age should/do have disposable incomes in which motorcycles, planes and boats can be purchased. Of course the F6B is a fantastic motorcycle, which you friends will be seeing the back of and at some point will want to be in front again!
Just picked up a leftover 2013 black standard model yesterday...currently 39, for about 13 more days. Started with a 1982 GS650 in June 2010, then a 2008 VStar 1100 , a 2004 VStar 1100 (my transition bike after crashing the '08), now the 6er....my oh my I feel like I'm in a different league now..,
62-----never have grown up----off HD`s and back on a F6B---:icon_biggrin::icon_biggrin:
Now that I'm a proud and happy owner...I'm 59. Feel older physically, not mentally. Plan on riding until I can't.
I am 59 and after 25 years of being bikeless. I retired and bought myself a bike (Honda F6B) for a retirement gift to myself. I get giddy ever time I cock my leg over my BIG RED SEXY bike. Only thing that has change from the time at I rode when I was young too now. Is that I'm a lot more safer driver. I also took a rider safety course before I bought this bike. It was one of the best thing done. Keep your wheels on the ground and drive safe everybody. Big Red 1 :biker:
66 here and plan to ride until I can't walk! Which hopefully is a very long time yet.
Not an owner yet, but hope to be next spring. By then I will be approaching 73! Some tell me that it's too heavy a bike for an old guy like me to handle, but right now I'm not having a problem with a 750 pound cruiser, how much harder can it be to handle the extra 90 pounds?
Old enuf to know better, but old enuf not to care.
The low center of gravity on the F6B makes it very comfortable to get up and off the sidestand, hold upright when stopped etc. It feels lighter than the V-twins and even lighter than my old Valkyrie. I'm pushing 73, of average strength, and have only a 30 inch inseam. The bike is very manageable and inspires confidence. You'll feel comfortable and right at home on it. Enjoy.
I'll vote when I pick up one.. But I'm 35
After learning on a 550 four cyl when I was 15 circa 1980 I went dark on motorcycles aside from rentals in vacation spots until my 35th
birthday. I went Kawi 1500, lasted 2 yrs and then embraced the Harley Style as I was so impressed with the styling. After about 12 years on road king classic then Ultra Classic dresser ( and $$$$ in customs) I sold it for post divorce house. Three years with no bike, I decide forget the Harley style and try on something tried and true back to my Honda roots. At now 51 1/2 I no longer give a damn about how cool I am rather about the total riding experience. I pick up my new f6b in 10 days.
55 when I got big red, soon to 56.
I do not know if red is the fastest but it is faster than the other 14 bikes I have.
58 years young when I got my black 2013 B, 2 weeks ago! I love it when I tell people I bought a Gold Wing, you get this, "oh sorry you bought an old man's bike" look on their face. Then I show em a picture! Reactions are priceless!
39. Just picked my first F6B up yesterday.
47 and koving my 2016 f6b
Picking up my 2015 on Tuesday. I will be 49 next month and hope to ride many more years!!
39. Picked up my 2015 a couple of weeks ago.
That 71+ group is the smallest. Having been there and doing that, I can readily guess why. But still love that ride!! 'riding'
Ill be 39 next month sounds like im on the younger side of the average f6b rider but im good with that
55 and enjoying this spirited red machine!!...the F6B makes my old VTX1800C feel like a dinosaur in the twistys....I love it!!
31. Just bought my 2015 grey a week ago, but I have a broken leg and can't ride it yet. Started riding a 70's Z50 when I was 5. This is my first post.
