I normally wear a 2xl. I can not find a decent motorcycle jacket that fits true to size. I ordered 2 in 3xl and they were both small and had to send them both back. The shipping sending them back is killing me. Any suggestions.

Talk to Big Larry!
You could wait till February and go to the Chicago cycle show in Rosemont Illinois lots of jackets to try on and at great prices.
Of course it depends on what your style preferences are and how much you are willing to spend, but you might want to take a look at what Aerostich has to offer. They have four or five jackets and their stock sizes can be custom fitted. They just don't offer leather anymore.
I wear 3 or 4xl, alqays bought Joe Rocket. They seemed to fit "American' body types.

If you want to start shopping at the top and work your way down
I am a little robust around the mid section, but a 2xl typically fits me with a little extra room. I'm buying these jackets in 3xl and they are small.
Joe Rocket runs true to size. One of the few that does. I normally wear a 3X. JR 3X fits me perfect. I have 3 of his coats.

I just purchased a Carhartt Extremes Yukon Arctic quilt lined coverall suit and I could not be happier with my purchase. Sizing was easy and quite accurate. It cost me less than the average riding jacket and slips right over whatever I am wearing. I am 6'0" tall and weigh 225 pounds. I ordered the 46 regular and it fits great. I could have probably ordered a size 44 or even a 42 if I wanted to look like a race car driver or a jet pilot but I wanted something easy to slip in and out of quickly. They also offer "Big & Tall" sizing. Strongest zippers I have ever seen and the suit is water resistant. I would recommend this item to anybody who wants to continue riding when it gets chilly.

500 is way too much for a 3 season coat. Check JR at Revzilla. I know you gave a lot if money Duke , but don't waste it. You're gonna need it for gas going to the rally next year.
There was a time when I wouldn't buy anything but Hein-Gericke. They were incredibly comfortable, dead accurate on sizing, and virtually bulletproof. Indeed, I still have several in the closet which were all purchased in the 80's, and all of them are still going strong and looking great. Alas, Hein-Gericke is now nothing but a fading memory. They went out of business a number of years ago (lack of repeat business? who knows!). I have yet to find any maker that I can swear by the way I did with H/G.
I'm about to try the Joe Rocket Goldwing mesh. Glad to hear their sizes are accurate.....I need a 3XL also.

I didn't.....I'm on the road tonight buddy! Try to take some pics if I ever get off it tonight. I bought a shoie helmet, full face, and a bilt jacket. It'll work for as long as I'll ride this year. I had a cheap Power Trip jacket with the 9 and it was perfect for me.
I was just up in MN to pick up my 2013 6 and my brother gave me this jacket as he no longer rides Honda.
He said he bought the jacket for around $450 several years ago and it has been hanging in the closet unused for several years. I typically wear a large/tall so this jacket is just to big for me in the body.
I'll take $150 for it. Not sure how to work a deal with anyone that would be interested in purchasing it, but if interested. Spitball any ideas.

I've had good results with Aerostich over the years. I run really big through the chest/shoulders but my waist is 33-34. A little extra through the waist isn't a big deal with mc clothes and suits but looks kinda poor when walking around. I have a custom made Langlitz Leather jacket that really fits. The waist fits snug with a 50 chest and enough room for my arms and shoulders. It took a few calls from the staff at Langlitz to confirm the measurements and the jacket is as good as it gets. For what we spend on bikes and accessories a custom jacket every decade or so isn't out of line.
I'm 6' and 300lbs and a 2x from First Gear seems true to size and a very good jacket.
