Something about the stock size you don't like?
I'd use the correct size / OEM specs. Has to do with the handling.
I had Toyo tires on a pick up, got good service from them. Didn't know they made MC tires.
Not sure about a Toyo tire. But I would not run any car tire unless it a run flat. If air goes out of car tire on a bike and it is not a run flat. You are going to have 25 to 35 pound of rubber flapping around. You will crash no way to control the bike. I run a car tire on my F6B only thing I have ever riden a F6B with. I recommend a Pirelli P1 run flat. They work great!!
there is a lot of manufactures of tires for dark siding 195/55/16 is the preferred size. Do your research and knowledge is power good luck be safe. and btw I dark side
it does not change the speedo, I checked via GPS speedometer and .5 mile per hour off 70 mph =70.5 mph
That's great!
With stock MC 180 tire, my indicated 70 was actually 68, and I was clocking an extra 3 miles for every hundred.
With a 185 back there, my indicated 70 is now 71, indicated 80 is now actually 84. However, my odometer is within 0.3 miles for every hundred.
No biggie - just data points.

Several times, I've followed a friend that uses a CT & it scares the crap out of me to see him lean in a corner. CT's aren't made to run on the corners / edges. I fail to see any advantage to running one..….. I'll stick to good, quality tires made for my MC.
If the computer uses gear and RPM to judge the speed, that 195 tire size is really gonna change the speedo.
I don't mind I will just have to make sure to run the posted speed limit.
With the OEM tire, 3000 RPM is right at 70 MPH.
Will look into the run-flat tire before I do anything.
The reviews on the Toyo tire are no good.
Yokohama makes a 185-60-16.
I used Yokohama (rated around 130mph) on a Honda Accord EX coupe I had. Never had a problem, a tad noisy, cornered good.
I'm just trying to stay close to the OEM size. I believe I read that someone here has used a Yokohama.
I just ordered the 185-60-16 Yokohama. Should have it on the bike next week.
I ran a Yokohama 195/55-16 non run flat on my F6B and now have it on my 15 Wing. 10,000 miles on the B and now another 11,000 on the wing and still going well. I run 40lbs and am wearing the center a bit more than the outer edges but am happy with the tire overall.
Want to replace the 90* valve stem but cant find one local. WTF!
