Stay safe...got a goal for the summer miles?
Patch-no goals. This is just me. Rollin. Although if I'm within one hundred miles of the next 1000 mark, it's very hard for me to get to the house. Lol
Yesterday afternoon, for instance, I'm 48 miles shy of 28K. Normally, there is no way I would've let that stand. Lol. But I stopped by the house, closed my eyes JUST FOR A MINUTE, and woke up twelve hours later. :)
Btw, with your mileage, we may run into each other in the next couple of months. I'm planning to head through your great state. Stopping in The Woodlands, Round Rock, and Seguin. :)
omgwtfbbq! I do the same thing...If I'm close to ticking a 1K marker, I keep riding. I knew there had to be someone else out there that did this.
I'm in Pflugerville, just an exit or two down from Round Rock. If you are gonna be in the area on a weekend or a day other than end of a month, and you are up for an adventure I'd be happy to join you for a trip out for the three sisters if you're up for an all day event, or if you'd like to explore around the Austin area, there are about 10 really good roads that can be hit in a matter of 6 to 8 hours.
And open to anyone passing through the area...I'd be happy to buy ya lunch or dinner if you're just passing through. There are alot of unique places to get your grub on. Just let me know what yer hunkerin' for.
Plungerville haha. I've thrown down at the Dessau Dance Hall a time or two.
They're mounted. I've got about a thousand miles on them. They are unreal. I really wasn't expecting this dramatic of a difference. Right side feels great.
But the handling. Omg. I was on an extremely rough road earlier today. The pavement was wavy. Across the lane and down the lane. Lol. Before I would've been bouncing all over the road. No more.
Yes, it does provide stability.
Between an added fork brace and that bar, there is very little wiggle room for the handlebars.
Helibars are on my "wish list."
Maybe I can get a "go-fund-me" thing started.....
So Teach - what's on the agenda this week?
Let me guess: riding?
Actually, given it's Memorial Day weekend, I reckon you are out with your PGR brethren doing veteran related civic duties.
Good on you.

Escorting a Vietnam veteran to Georgia National
The guy representing the VA/GNC was on point yesterday. Truly had his shit in one sock. The way he escorted the widow up the walk....the way he handled the Navy honor guard... His comments to the family at the end of the service....everyone was commenting on how shit hot he was.
He told the widow he was a Vietnam Vet as well and as soon as he said that I thought, "Marine" lol
Sure enough, after the service, we were furling the flags and he asked me if I was a Marine. I said, "No. I just love Marines." He said, "Well, thank you for loving me. Semper Fi." :)))))
I'm somewhere in West LA. I got to ride from NO almost to Lafayette with Grant and his HD-buddy-who-isn't-a-douchebag. Big huge thanks Grant. I still think we should've set the rabbit free
We had a blast. They ride those Louisiana back roads like his Uncle's the Sheriff. Fun.
Headed toward The Woodlands. :)
Well we just had waaaaaay too much fun on the back roads of South Louisiana lol Kelly you are an amazing woman, can't wait to see you again and be safe on the road!
Did somebody say rabbit? I think he would like that! lol

Woodlands is hectic traffic patterns. Be careful. Be safe. Snakes gotta eat too.
This was part of our route in the morning, some really neat places we visited and great country roads before we parted ways and teach headed to texas

That's a nice route. Very pretty around the Thibodaux area. That route is almost the same we took into NOLA the night after Katrina. It took us nearly 7 hours to get from Baton Rouge to KMSY in the dark.
FAA. We went to get communications systems and weather systems restored. 53driver was flying in and we had to be ready. He's very demanding that way. It was scary driving in from the south to NOLA. I worked in NOLA for several years and was familiar with the Thibodaux and Houma and Grand Isle areas. Sad to see what happened down there.
That's too funny!
Decatur TX for the night.
I love everything about this state. Especially the way they drive. These SOBs in Texas are strollin.
Raton NM
600 glorious miles today. Perfect riding.
I'm definitely:icon_wink: jealous Teach, I'm a workaholic trying to change my ways... Only got three hundred or so in, but it was a short day...
Texas drivers don't play when it comes to the hammer lane.
You should see us with a pump shotgun.
Where are you now?????
