I was a twinkle in my father's eye as the saying goes....born in '87
I was at Anderson's Honda in Bloomfield Hills, MI purchasing the exact same bike as posted on this thread...Second one in the area to own it and rode it for a year or so...If I remember it was a nice bike but to heavy for me?? ..Traded it for a Yellow Super Sport Honda 750 which I liked much better....I was 35, married with three kids working for Ford Motor...The rest is history....Almost 40 years later, 5 kids, and 16 Grandkids...Where did the time go???? Now at almost 75, I am riding an F6B which I am sure is heavier than the 75 model...Go figure!!!
Junior in high school. The next year I bought a new CB750. Man that was a great bike. Over the next two years I put a 4 into 1 header on it , rejetted the carbs , and put a single K&N on top of each carb. Also went with a bigger chain and sprockets for durability and changed the gearing to help in the eighth mile. She was a runner.
I was riding my CB 450 over to my hippychic's house. My first GW was a 78 model complete with Califia fairing and bags.
Not working and hitchhiked across western Canada then down the west coast of the US and ended up in Mexico. Then back again through the MidWest. Pretty wild for a 18 year old but lots of great stories and memories.
In my second year of Industrial Arts teacher education. I was running around on a 1973 Yamaha RT360 Enduro.

Racing around on a Penton 175 and a Maico 440 - Those were the days!
I was living and working in Europe, having divorced my spouse, and spending every weekend in winter in Switzerland skiing my buns off. In summer I was carousing with other folks, and one who happened to have this monster bike--a 650 BMW.Attachment 8936

Just graduated high school, riding my first motorcycle -- a Honda 500/4, and helping a friend rebuild his Triumph Trident while working at a muni golf course as a grounds keeper. Working on a summer theater production of Man of La Mancha, living on my own for the first time. Did mushrooms and peyote for the first time. Reading Carlos Castenada. Between bands. Life was good.
Seventh Grade....pick up my first Gold Wing Saturday so I have to make up lost time.
Graduating High School & starting my freshman year in college.

Working in a shop making power tools and riding a '38' Indian Chief.
I was a junior in high school. I didn't get my first bike, a Kawasaki KZ400, until March of 1978. Rode that for a few years and then bought a slightly used 1978 GL1000 Goldwing with Vetter fairing, bags and trunk.
6th grade...fascinated with girls.
I had been married nearly two years and had a daughter who will be turning 40 in a couple of months. I was an engineer and just hired on at Ford Motor Company in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Money was tight so no extra cash for a bike.
By 1975, I had been working for 8 years with Duke Power Co., had 2 sons (ages 2 & 4), and was racing dirt bikes (Bultaco and later Maico). At the power company, we had some pretty cool guys working as linemen. Very often, these characters were adventurous and real characters. I'll never forget first talking to one of those guys who was the best motorcycle racer around. When I asked him about the best way to learn about riding, he simply replied, "start racing, you'll learn real fast". Well, I did that and he was right, I learned real fast but it was pretty painful along the way. Those were good days :icon_cool:.
I was a kid, and that was about the time I drove my uncle's 50cc Honda into an irrigation canal. "crashnburn" I was very fortunate it was full of water. The bike, not so much ...
He has since offered to come visit and ride my motorcycle into my swimming pool. The great thing about families - they never let you forget anything! :catfight:
