So what have we learned about using ZDDP in a Goldwing?
Might not be good for the Cats,,, (In certain circumstances)
Transmissions?
Engines? We don't have tappets or high valve spring rates,,, The SOHC flat 6 is certainly not a 'Racing" engine, so,,,???

I would say if your transmission is starting to shift/feel alittle funky give it a try, if its normal (and I think all motorcycles shift with alittle clank/clunk) why mess with something that is working. Honda has built hundreds of thousands how many use additives? How many are out there with 100+k miles and have used nothing but cheap oil and are still going strong?

Sooooooooooooooooooooo Scotrod... you really don't like ZDDPlus!
-
It's not something 'new',,, Been around for a long time.
Nothing on the manufacturers website says a word about using it in anything that remote resembles a 'Wing,,,
As posted earlier: Myself???? I'm not going to run out any buy any for my 6, but I wouldn't care if someone else used it.
Slap a can or 2 in your 6 and tell us what ya think!

If it matters to anybody, I use a high content ZDDP in my Ural which I feel benefits this engine. In my F6B I do NOT need this. IMHO :nono:cueman

I agree with Scotrod, plus like someone else pointed out, Honda says not to use additives, I don't know what this would do to your warranty if you did suffer some engine or transmission mechanical failure.

This stuff kind of reminds me of my body...If you feel good and are otherwise healthy and working fine, would you take something you were not sure of just to feel better???..I dunno, not me!!
