My sena SMH 10 only has one speaker working

I have 3 Sena SMH 10 sets. Two in my helmets and one in my wifes helmet. Both of my sets have intermittent or have completely lost sound in the right hand speaker. It seems that the wires lose connectivity or something. I know that they are very thin and probably fairly fragile, but losing one side on both SMH10 sets surprises me. I'll admit that both sets are about 3 years old, but I don't abuse my helmets.

Has anyone else encountered this type of problem? Otherwise I really like my Sena's.
