If you are unable to locate black pipes, look into having yours powder coated. Had mine done a few years ago, they turned out nice and have held up well.
Were the chrome pipes on the 2014 models quiet like those in 2013, or louder like the later models?
I can't answer that for you cause not sure what the 13 sound like. These do have a nice rumble sound to me but they are stock.Quote:

I had these coated in February 2016. They are not stock pipes but are indicative of how well coating holds up. None of the pipes get hot enough to affect the surface. The chrome will need to be blasted for adhesion but that can be done by your coater.

In 2013 the pipes were nearly silent, like those on a full size Wing. I had one and grew to love the quiet. The audio system sounded much better too.Quote:
