I like them. They work with your low beams and shut off with high beams. They give a wide white beam of light that really helps here in Pa. with the deer at night. In the daylight, it gives additional lights for others "to see you better" with.
+1......good money spent...to see and be seen!!!!
Like the switch? Anything else required? And can somebody tell me if the quality justifies the price, compared with after market?
Kit comes with everything you need. Quality is top notch IMO.
I love mine and would purchase again.
Some folks like a lotta lights. Some have bikes that make a 747 look 'dim',,,
Heck, up until the 6, (1) headlight was all I had,,,
I'm a gonna wait until I feel 4 isn't quite enough before I spring for any more! :icon_biggrin:
I put the OEM lights in about 10 days after I brought the bike home. The only time they get shut off is when I switch to the high beams. I use them mostly for others to see me in the daylight, but they are bright. 16 months and 11000 miles with no problems. The OEM switch doesn't light up to tell me when the lights are on. I'm not sure if it is supposed to or not. There are much cheaper options out there than the OEM and the dealer wanted something like $200 to install. Nope, did it myself and spent the $200 on other options.
To actually see pot holes and road issues, the higher you get off the ground seem to work better. I did see some small HID or LED lights at Americade that mounted under the mirrors. They seemed very bright and I will probably look into those next.
Had mine installed by dealer. Asked me if I wanted them to go off with high beams or stay on. I elected to have them stay on with high beams.
Check your state laws. That setup is illegal here in Minnesota.
