Well, I rode the F6B to Amarillo and parked it in my warehouse where it awaits my visits and hopefully frequent trips to New Mexico/Colorado. The 2018 Goldwing will be my new main ride and the 1200...
Your situation is similar to mine, in that your bikes are all somewhat similar, big cruiser/touring bikes. JM21 has a nice variety and all bikes that are different and for different types of riding....
I think you are correct.
Why do you have multiple bikes, how do you choose which to ride, do you ever want to cull down to just one?
First world problem to be certain, but I find myself with three bikes now. I had the...
Thanks for the comments. I've wondered if that is a bike I could do some short trips on. Sounds like it's not built for that. I bet it is still a blast to ride. I've sat on a couple, and they...
I would be interested to hear your thoughts on that Diavel. Í have always been intrigued with that bike. Is it different enough from the F6B to warrant two cruisers?
Funny you mention that. I swear I could feel the throttle moving on the 1200RT when I would adjust the speed of the cruise control up or down. Sounds like the opposite of your gs.
What do you do with your right hand when your cruise is on? I have throttle lock on my f6b and typically don't leave it on more than a couple of minutes. I usually just dangle my hand and wiggle...
I bought and installed a set of Rush 4", took a half hour or so test ride, and promptly removed them. The drone was absolutely unbearable. I sold them to someone on this site, who I believe added...
I changed my pads when the old ones still had good pad left, have sanded my rotors, lubed all parts in caliper, and still have the squeak. I have a buddy with an f6b and his never squeaks.
That's a good price, Jo. I just made a route on the Honda website for my return trip on August. That's a nice feature, and the large screen is nice. All the conveniences you can use as you choose,...
I purchased a new to me 2018 Goldwing Tour just before an almost two week trip from Dallas to Seattle. I didn't ride it that much before I left. You will not be disappointed with this bike. I...
For those of you that have done research on this, you've probably heard most of these comments already. I purchased a 2018 Goldwing DCT about two weeks before going on a ride with several friends...
I had a post yesterday, went to edit it earlier, and must have deleted it. I was looking at a 2018 Goldwing Tour, and asked the question in the op. I didnt realize it until I was filling out the...
How have those that purchased a 2018/2019 Goldwing found the lack of luggage space to work for them? I am on the verge of making a deal for one, but do have some concerns about that lack of luggage...
Here is a good article on the topic of hitting the rev limiter. From the article:
"Longer answer: Redlining is OK, provided you're doing it in a specific sort of way. Banging off the rev limiter is...
No more judgemental than this statement: "If you exist to gain satisfaction and pride from neurotically maintaining your vehicles, enjoy that also!"
My post you responded to wasn't aimed at you...
Riding around trying to hit the rev limiter on a touring bike doesn't sound that fun, or much like a great idea. I ride plenty fast and don't hit the rev limiter. Sounds like you would ride a...
Do you drive your cars the same way? If not, why not? I don't get the mentality that if you are not going to keep the bike for 250,000 miles, be as rough on it as you can. Nobody buys an f6b so...
Sounds like abuse to me. I ride fast a lot, but don't see a need to thrash the bike. Payed too much and enjoy it too much to try and wear it out in that manner. To each his own, as they say.
Thank you for that. I will take a look for sure.
Thank you. That thing is not inexpensive but looks well designed for the purpose. I'm trying to.figure out if I would use it, logistics of having dog as far as restaurants, bathroom breaks, etc,...
Thanks. So the design obviously allows the dogs head to stick out. Is there a harness or leash to keep the dog from getting out? Can the dog be zipped all the way in, as a soft cage? The pic you...
Good for you. How do you keep the dog on the bike? Is that a pet carrier, and the dog goes inside while riding? My daughter found a dog last year, had been in front of a convenience store for 4...
