    Being Pulled to the Darkside

I finally found a spare wheel off the Gl1800rider site.
Haven't decided which tire to get yet. There's so much info to wade through.

What I need to know, once I find a tire, is if anyone knows of a shop in the St. Louis area that will mount a CT on my rim?

    Thanks

    Todd

I am not a fan but here you go:

A forum dedicated to the discussion of the using of DS tires on motorcycle cruisers.- Here we talk about, prove and disaprove different tires for different bikes.- Here we learn together what works and what doesn't.-
    -
Here you need not be castigated, demeaned, hazed, or belittled by those who have nothing but an uneducated opinion and no 1st hand experience with a Darkside tire.
    -
Some tires mount at lower seating pressures than other tires, the DS Forum has info available, it is important.- (Serious consideration should be taken if more than 80# PSI is necessary for seating a tire on the rim.- Extreme caution must be used if you chose to go there.)-All car tires need to be broken in, it takes about 500 miles for all of the components to start working together as the tire was originally designed per the manufacturer ( on motorcycles this mileage may be needed to be increased due to weight of the bike and rider up to 1000 miles).- Precise tire pressure settings on a DS tire on a MC are crucial, I am adamant about that.- The tire I run on my Liner is an excellent choice (General Altimax HP) @ 40# PSI, and the same tire is absolutely squirrely at 30# PSI. initially.- DS tires, we have learned, have this innate ability of keeping the tread on the pavement if the rider is knowlegible enough to know at what pressure to run the tire.
    -
If all of the safety procedures are followed in mounting a car tire on a cruiser, you can have a safe machine that is enjoyable to ride and get superior traction wet, dry, on the straights, and thru the twisties.- If you don’t know what you are doing, ask those that do, or stick to the MC tires.- DS tires are not for everyone.-
